Services
Mariposa Women & Family Center is a not-for-profit organization that specializes in women's health issues. These include counseling, mental health, drug and alcohol support, domestic violence, community workshops, and professional training. Since our inception, we have been passionate about improving the health of our local communities through the well being of women, their children, and their families.
At Mariposa Women & Family Center, we deliver high-quality, innovative therapy services that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual. Our unique model uses pre-licensed therapists who provide counseling services under the supervision of licensed professionals. The use of these highly educated, pre-licensed therapists allows us to treat more individuals while keeping our costs lower.
Mariposa now offers online counseling services for individuals who experience a barrier to transportation or disabilities that prevent them from attending sessions in person. It's aconvenient way to get help when you can't get to an office, via a video chat with a professional, licensed, and experienced Mariposa therapist.
While everyone is unique and may have unique circumstances, you are not alone in your struggles. At first, the idea of participating in group therapy might seem intimidating, but in our experience, most participants are surprised by how rewarding their experience can be. At Mariposa, we offer many types of gender specific groups because the therapeutic needs for men and women are different.
Mariposa is one of the only outpatient programs to offer gender specific groups for addiction treatment. The statistics are alarming: drug and alcohol overdoses resulted in over 5,500 hospitalizations and nearly 700 deaths among Orange County residents last year. Opioid usage and addiction are on the rise, especially in the beach communities of Southern Orange County.

If I could I would give this place a negative 5 star. Don't do individual therapy with them they don't care all they care about is ripping you off in sessions and stealing your money. Worst experience ever. Wasted over $600 for NOTHING! Just so they can come at me with the " I think you are not ready" they are LIARS! AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. they will have you hoping to therapist over and over. Very unprofessional organization.
