Dr. Vimal Patel was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Creighton University where he earned both his Bachelors of Science in Biology degree and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Patel began his career in Omaha, Nebraska before expanding his skill set and expertise at a practice in Springfield, Missouri.

Horrible experience. They over charged me for a filling and refused to mail me my over payment check. I asked for the balance to roll over to the treatment. Horrible customer service. You would think they would have better policies in place, especially since COVID has happened.

I had a wonderful experience over the last month here. Dr. Patel's attention to detail is refreshing. I was referred to his office by an oral surgeon and an endodontist who both felt I would receive a great crown and fitting; which I did! I felt very safe and could tell they were taking Covid-19 safety protocols seriously. Will be coming back for routine care. Thank you Prosper Smiles!

Dr. Patel and the Team at Prosper Smiles are amazing and I would highly recommend them! I came in with a chipped tooth and they were able to do the exam as well as address the tooth in the same visit. I know the team had to juggle some things around to make this happen but I was very appreciative they were able to take care of me so quickly! Thanks again Dr. Patel!

I have been going to Dr. Vimal Patel @ Prosper Smiles Family Dentistry for several years. Even after I moved out of Prosper. They are top notch! They do a great job of reminding you that you need a teeth cleaning and then reminding you when it is. They offer their own family dental insurance as well as state of the art equipment & cleanings. Dr. Patel is the best! Thank you for making me smile!

Prosper Smiles Family Dentistry was an amazing find when I moved to the area. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The hygienists do fantastic work and are gentle and attentive. Dr. Patel is wonderful. He engages with his patients, listens to their concerns, and explains clearly and knowledgably. RUN unless you wish to be totally taken advantage of financially! New to the area, have run my own service oriented business successfully for over 24 yrs, extremely affluent and needless to say been around the block.... My appointment was made for a simple check up and teeth clean or so I thought...From the minute you enter and begin filling out forms ie: "You agree to pay out of pocket for ANY EXTRA NECESSARY X-RAYS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE" which btw he wasn't going to have me leave without getting SOME AMOUNT OF MONEY ON THE SPOT OVER & ABOVE WHAT MY INSURANCE COVERED.. I was right.. lol..

After going for one cleaning and exam the ADA Code D0140 which is basically an exam visit code was added to Payment details and thats fine.. i discussed with doctor getting a night guard and bonding some chipped front tooth from grinding on the cleaning day visit. A week later i scheduled a visit to get the chipped tooth bonded that the doctor had already seen on cleaning day and to get the night guard mold. Upon returning to the office and seeing the payment details again i see ADA Code D0140 but this time there was no exam and even if doctor thinks there was they know insurance will only allow

I have never been excited or even slightly happy to visit a dentist. It has been like that. Every year, I drag myself to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and do the check up. Help me please if I need a filling , crown or something else. My blood pressure goes through the roof and I am buried in anxiety. When I was referred to Dr. Patel, I was thinking , "here we go again". I had a really bad tooth-ache, and was leaving for Japan on vacation in 10- days. I just want to say I am thoroughly impressed with this dentist. I am absolutely shocked how little pain I am in after having a tooth extracted and having three cavities filled all at the same time. I can't wait to bring the rest of my family here. As well as continue coming myself. Easy-going professional and most importantly: I am so thankful to not be in pain anymore.

I am terrified of the dentist and Dr. Patel was very kind and gentle and made the couple visits less stressful than the previous dentists before. I loved how he talked me through the procedure of my first root… canal. Dr Patel meticulously worked on my new crown until it fit like a regular existing tooth. I can't say enough nice things about his staff. They welcome you and make you feel like part of their family. I will recommend my family, friends and Toyota colleagues to his office.

My daughter and I both have had some fillings done in the last couple of weeks and Dr. Patel and his staff could not make these dreaded visits more easy on us. They are painless, extremely quick, and everyone is always so polite. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes for two fillings today! My bite is perfect, no sharp or awkwardness at… all....and he even closed a space between a couple of my molars that food would always get lodged in while he was back there! AWESOME WORK DR PATEL!!! You and your staff are amazing people! Thank you for what you do!
