Michael Willock backs up his commitment through constant education in both modern, clinical dentistry and naturopathic healing arts. A mouth can't be truly healthy if the rest of the body is not.
Dr. Willock is very proud of the ladies who comprise the Willock Dental Team - not just because of their professional ability but because of their genuine concern for our patients. All team members are graduates of accredited dental school programs and entered the field because they were interested in oral health care.
Traditionally, dentistry has treated the mouth as somehow detached from the rest of the body. But in truth, there is always a whole person there - mouth, body, mind, and soul. Holistic dentistry acknowledges that true health and healing are possible only when the whole person is cared for in caring for the mouth.
While all of the services we offer are done through a holistic, biological framework, there are some special services that patients seeking a biological dentist are specifically interested in. Because dental amalgam is made mostly of mercury, a potent neurotoxin, we follow strict safety protocols when asked to remove these "silver" fillings.
Dr. Willock and his team provide a full range of general dental services through a holistic, biological framework. Whether you need just regular exams and cleanings or more specialized services, we are here to help you attain and sustain optimal oral health. Unlike mercury amalgam "silver" fillings, these tooth-colored restorations look natural and typically require that we remove less natural tooth structure for the restoration.

Please beware. Dr. Willock did 3 fillings for me. After the numbing medication wore off I was in so much pain. It lasted over a month it affected my sleep nightly. I also noticed soon after the fillings were changing color to a black and later developed holes. I went back regrettably and he redid them only after I had another dentist confirm that they needed to be redone. He redid two of them. Afterwards I remained in pain for another month and a half and developed larger holes in my teeth one of them had dark green matter in it. I went to another dentist and he replaced all 3 fillings and I haven

We just changed dentists because we wanted a holistic dentist. My husband and I are extremely grateful for Dr. Willock and staff. They discovered my husband had an abscessed tooth (because it had a root canal he didn't feel any pain). Since he has heart disease this could cause a heart attack or worse! We are very happy with the care and our treatment plans. Dr. Willock and staff are wonderful.

That might have been the first time I left a dentist with a really big smile. I wanted to talk to a holistic dentist about getting a 15 year old root canal removed because of some problems I have been noticing with it.
Dr. Willock spent so much time of my visit answering all of my questions and giving me a full story of his own root canal removal. I left with a referral to an oral surgeon and a plan.

I am dental phobic and have been going to Dr. Willock for thirteen years. The hygienist, Sandy, is the absolute best. She is gentle, caring, and reassuring, and always very kind about my nerves and jumpiness in the chair. Dr. Willock has always been great, too, and will never recommend any kind of frivolous or unnecessary work. This is the only dentist's office I can stand going to every six months, and I can't think of higher praise to give.

I moved to this area a little over three years ago, and loved the Biological (Holistic ) dentist and the hygienist I previously saw. I was nervous about finding another practice here, as I have had gum issues and bone loss.
I am meticulous about the care of my teeth, and have actually found Sandy, the hygienist to be the best I've encountered. I also have had to have a broken tooth repaired and a cavity attended to. I have been pleased with Dr. Willock's skill and with the sophisticated equipment he has to create inlays.

Have been a patient of Dr. Willock for 20+. Years and have found him to be exceedingly gentle, caring and considerate of costs. His treatment recommendations have always been the most conservative and long lasting. All the friends I have referred have said the same to me. His staff always gives me a treatment plan with costs before I agree to any treatment, there has never been a surprise.
His staff is professional and very warm and friendly and the office is very tastefully decorated.
