I came in for a dental cleaning today, and my teeth left feeling super clean. Dr. Bui is such a patient and kind doctor! Lupe, her front desk receptionist, is also very kind and accomodating as well. Her dental assistant who helped clean my teeth was so sweet and talkative. She was so patient with me throughout the X-Ray taking process, which I truly appreciated. Everyone made me feel so comfortable throughout my appointment. I am so happy that I left my appointment with my teeth squeaky clean and with no cavities!

I have the worst experience with any medical professionals at Pacific Family Dental. On Delta Dental Website, they specify themselves as Delta Dental PPO and Premier. I shifted from my old dentists to them, because my old dentists only take Premier, which is significantly higher rate than PPO. When I tried to make an appointment from the VERY BEGINNIG, the front desk Lupe answered my question by confirming and assuring me that they are taking PPO. So we went from teeth cleaning, examination which are free of charge and it is 100% covered, so I believed what I heard that they are PPO contractor

I will NEVER go to the place again! Three of my filings popped out TWICE! and each time they blamed ME. It's because of them I have a fear of flossing (they popped out because I flossed) and as they were fixing it the second time, their dental assistant made it a point to pull my lips every way to make my lips crack (I had SEVERAL of cuts on my lips) . Vengeful and DISGUSTING people work in this office.
Oh and btw, my insurance covered EVERYTHING. I didn't need to pay to have white fillings. Watch out before they rob you too!

Dr. Amy Bui has been our family dentist for many wonderful years. My son & I are not the bravest nor the most relaxed patients to begin with, but Dr. Bui understands and adapts to our needs. Dr. Bui is incredibly great at making us feel at ease. Her knowledge of the dentistry field and her finesse techniques are some of qualities that make her an exceptional dentist! My family is very fortunate to find such a great dentist!

It's my first time to visit dentist in CA and it makes me more scared to visit dentist than ever.
First, I had to tell why I picked her throughout many dentists because I was trying to find a dentist who could speak cantonese or mandarin. Dr. Amy Bui is the one who said she could speak Cantonese so I picked her and she could speak Spanish, English Tagalog, Cantonese and Vietnamese- BUT its not true. I realised she could speak vietnamese and English only!
Second, Never tell you how much it cost and the answer always "it's all covered."

Here they always want people to take x-ray as often as the insurance covered. This is done even on someone who has had no cavity the whole life. This mean the x-ray was taken not for diagnostics purposes but purely as tool to make money. One year I went through 2 x-ray and soon afterwards had a neck enlargement that required surgical removal.

Before moving away from the bay area, I went to PFD for my dental needs. The doctors at Pacific Family Dental are gentle, caring , and very knowledgeable. I actually still commute back to the Bay Area to get my dental check ups. Its hard to find a dentist you can trust and will treat you well and when you do find one, you don't want to let them go. They are that good, very highly recommended.

I have been going to Pacific Family Dental for almost two years now and have always had the most positive experiences with them. I have seen both Lai-Fong and Lily Lee for appointments and they are always very meticulous, thorough, and provide great service.
I first switched there when I had an emergency and had to get a root canal done. I was very pleased with not only the customer service of everyone there, but also the modern machinery that they have. Took my mother here because she was experiencing a tooth ache and they are close by. Staff was friendly and office was clean. My mother had no dental insurance but they gave her a few discounts..(first time customer, senior citizen) Nice of them to do that and we didn't even ask.
Dental cost was high but discounts made it more bearable. They recommend a few other procedures to my mother and wasn't overly pushy.

Me and my wife have been coming to PFD for a few years now and are very satisfied with the work and friendly atmosphere. We especially love the convenient hours that they offer, and still go to them even after we moved out of the south bay to the tri-valley. The drive is a bit far, but worth it. Ofcourse, nobody wants to go to the dentist, but if you must, these folks will treat you right.
