New York Deli
We proudly serve Grobbel's corned beef here at The New York Deli Restuarant. Originally from a sole meat counter in Detroit to a time-honored company people trust throughout the United States. They start by trimming their briskets to exacting standards. Then, they add their secret family recipe to the brine and cure the briskets in the traditional method.

Their careful preparation results in a Corned Beef that is so flavorful and simply melts in your mouth!

Maryanne is always such a sweet lady. Food is good, service is a bit slow some days, but these are friendly people. Kid friendly.

The clam chowder is not edible as I can see and taste the flour they used to thicken it 🤮. It should also not taste like chicken soup. Thank goodness they didn’t have to thicken the cabbage soup. I also liked the flavor of the cabbage soup. Unfortunately the clam chowder was for a sick child.
Update my child’s father returned with more soup and food from here the next day and it was much better. Chicken lemon rice and fried mushrooms. So maybe they just shouldn’t try clam chowder.

This is one of our go to family style local restaurants. Good food and the owner Marianne is the one of the bests.

Clean and friendly, and the food being served looked good. Good take out business was happening when I was there. I had a bowl of soup which was $3.50 and a decent amount, but was nothing special compared with other restaurants same soup. Not bad, but unremarkable. I has a rice pudding which was good, but the portion was smaller than comparable servings at other restaurants in the same class of service. I was just in for the two items, so I can't comment on the other foods except to say that I felt slightly higher pricing was common on the menu.

We stopped for brunch. Firstly, this place is clean, clean. Exceptionally so. Our server was excellent. I wish I remembered her name. She was attentive and personable. The French onion was very good. I've never tried a soup here that wasn't great actually. There's several to choose from, daily. Omelettes and sandwiches, all good. We tried the cheeseburger wrap. No bread, wrapped in iceberg. It was surprisingly tasty too. I'm not sure why we ordered this lol but I'd come back specifically for that wrap again. I was jealous my husband tried it first. This is probably a new

Always solid food, reasonable and good service. Owner, Maryanne always checks on everyone remembers your name and does her best to please you. Excellent Greek salad, Homemade soups that are the best around and I love the real corned beef hash as well as their deli sandwiches. Burgers are solid made to order and for my money the best and most fresh golden crispy french fries around here!

It's an watery, like all eateries. The food is no different, no better nor no worse then right next door.
I ordered eggs over easy, got semi hard yellows, not good for dunking....hash browns had the oil taste which detracts from the potatoes taste, not particular to this eatery, but common to all eateries. Still looking for that exceptional breakfast restaurant.

My favorite lunch spot! They always give you a bowl of pickles and they are so yummy! The menu has many options. My favorite meal is the tuna salad! It's the perfect ratio of tuna, celery and mayo. The food is great and the staff is wonderful!

I was very disappointed with the service, I am a reasonable person but this was unexceptable. I order the steak panini with a side of fries, my fries came out with my check and my panini was dry and bread was old. My friend got the wrong meal. I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE.

This place used to be in the strip adjacent. I was pleasantly surprised with the food based on the look of the place. My husband really likes this place too. They have very good Italian wedding soup. I really like their tuna melt, although they do use american cheese. They have good onion rings. Their rice pudding is delicious.

Basic diner with legit deli sandwiches. I had the corner beef and pastrami SSR, very good. Fries are the awesome double fried kind. Lemon rice soup is good and pretty thick. Split pea soup is also great. Very nice people working with lots of regulars.

Mediocre old school Coney Island fare. Tons of fried frozen opportunities. Aside from being clean and courteous the place lacks any real culinary integrity. Looking for cheap fast food. You got it.

It's unfortunate for a business that had the opportunity to start "new" from its location around the corner, chose not to update any of their chairs, tables or menu. The interior looks very dated.

There is nothing "New York" or "deli" about this location, except several $5 New York posters on the wall.

The food is below par tasting and poorly presented.

I have dined here twice in New Baltimore and both times were exactly the same.

I would expect a "Deli" to have some interesting sandwiches, freshly baked bread, and something unique to draw people

First time in today for a lunch carryout (forgot to check-in!) I was looking for a place for just salad and soup, easy and delish. Called and placed a carry-out and they said roughly 10 minutes. It was correct and ready within 10 minutes! Grilled Chicken Salad with Greek Dressing and a cup of the chicken lemon rice soup, side of pita and a diet coke. $15.

Not bad for the amount of salad and chicken. (The pita did cost extra) Staff was friendly and I was in and out in just a few minutes.
Great to know this place is here for lunch in the future!

3 separate dishes and all of them were terrible. Bland tasteless food, meats are dry and over cooked. Tell your kitchen not to quit their night jobs? I'm sure it had a lot to do with ingredients but collectively the food is trash. Everything is loaded with salt. Tastes like I'm eating at a nursing home. Severely disappointed and won't be returning.

Meh. The food is acceptable, but mostly sandwiches. I understand that the name of the place is a deli, but there aren't affordable options for variety. You can save with the Anchor Bay football fundraiser card.

I'n new to the area and I've only been here a few times but I haven't had a bad time yet! They have a lot of soups every day, so far I've had the italian wedding and clam chowder and they were both delicious. They have a lot of sandwiches and really good corned beef (my favorite and I'm pretty picky about it). Also the dinners are HUGE from what I've experienced, I had a turkey dinner last time and it was basically a full thanksgiving meal that I had to take home because it was so big.

The waitress was really nice and friendly, took the time to chat with us while

This place stinks, even if they dropped there breakfast special to 50 cents it would still stink. I cant think of a time where i had a breakfast that was as bad as theirs. People that eat at sleezy dirty coney islands deserve better.

Saturday night about 6:00 pm. Right off the bat they are not busy. We passed up a couple places in the general area because of wait times. Should have been a clue right there.

When we walked in we were sat right away and advised that they were short staffed and we would be waited on shortly. We ordered iced tea which was the best part of the meal. Nice fresh brewed. Down hill from there. I ordered the Madison burger with fries and a bowl of beef barley soup. Soup looked like a cross between chili and mud. Except mud would have had better flavor. I asked the waitress to swap it for lemon rice

Much much better. Service was top notch, food was excellent and place was running smooth since our last visit. Credit card machine working great and atmosphere was perfect. Lighting was excellent, quiet music and nice seating choices. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. Even the busboy stopped by to give us refills and we were totally happy with the overall experience. I even ordered carryout for my wife to enjoy.

I go to New York Deli when I'm sick and I want soup because they always have at least 6-8 soups available everyday. I think the only kind I've ever had is the Chicken Lemon Rice and it always hits the spot. I feel their prices are fair: $3.49 for a bowl of soup.

I added The Deli Big Jim to my soup order today. I was expecting the sandwich to be on the small side (because of a Yelp! review I had read prior to ordering), but the sandwich wasn't small at all. I think calling it "huge" might be a stretch, but it was definitely a big sandwich. There was a large amount of ham

Here's the scoop... it's perfectly good if you don't go out much.

I got the split pea soup and a "Slim Jim" (you know, like Big Boy makes). The split pea soup wasn't awful, but it was surprisingly thick, and tasted a bit like baby food... hey, that's not necessarily an insult, I find that baby food's underrated! Anyway, it was rather bland. I know pea soup isn't exactly the most flavorful soup ever, but it was very, very mediocre. The Slim Jim was pretty small, and the bread wasn't toasted/pressed like I'd expected it to. Yeah, they grill
