Monroe Smith and his young family moved to Arlington in the early 1970s following his 5 years in the US Navy. His path would lead from Texas Instruments to opening the first of 4 stores, The Little TV Shoppe; expansion into home video rentals preceded Blockbuster and brought in more customers, who found excellent service and prices.
