I started Essence Photography in 2009. I had a vision to bring quality photography services to our community in an easy, fun, and accessible way! Relationship is key to creating a positive experience with our clients. We want you to LOVE your photos. We also want you to look back on the experience and think "WOW that was so fun and easy!".
Individual sitting is for one person, up to twenty minutes. Perfect for capturing your childs growth, maternity photos, birthday photos, graduation photos, and more! We have multiple backdrops and props available for use. If you would like to customize this session for a certain theme or design, call and let us know, or make notes when you book online.

Professional headshots are the best way to introduce yourself and your brand. Studio headshots are five minutes, and include one high resolution digital image of your choice. We lightly touch it up, and deliver it within two business days. A commercial photoshoot goes above and beyond just the simple headshot.

I recommend the owner (who I have met in my personal life) but not her photographers, I actually did not know she had photographers under her. We joined her Halloween mini’s, I don’t love Halloween but my little girl does so I did not purchase the images package. I was shown the photos (back of camera view) and was advised they were going to send me the cute posed one (it was marked down on our sheet for reference) but that evening I received probably one of the worst photos I have ever received from any studio session, they sent the most unflattering photo of my daughter just standing

Thank you so much to Essence Photography for working with us on getting our last minute engagement photos done before our wedding! We had tried a couple of times but had to reschedule due to the rain, but they made it happen for us. We are so pleased with how quickly they returned our photos back to us as well so we could do some print outs before our wedding! And last but definitely not least, the photos are absolutely stunning!! Betsy has such a creative eye and made us feel comfortable being ourselves in front of the camera so we were able to capture our natural element for our engagement photos

Betsy and her team rock. They've been there for every step of my family's journey. From engagement photos to wedding, maternity, and now my son's baby photos. They are always professional, kind, and get photos back in a timely manner. Most importantly, the photos are beautiful, quality pictures to treasure for a lifetime.

We've had family photos once with Betsy in the past and this time with both Whitney and Victoria. We have family photos taken every 6 months and have used several photographers and our sessions with essence photography have been my absolute favorite! They make you feel comfortable right away and the kids just love them and actually smile naturally for them! The turn around time is super fast and you're left with gorgeous pictures.

I got married last June and I can't say enough nice things about having my photos taken by Betsy and Justin Erickson of Essence Photography. Being that these two are married, they made a fantastic team. I had a friend recommend Essence Photography, who sometimes shoots for our local Northstate magazine.
