Services
Hughes Auction is a family-based business that has been passed down through three generations. Hughes Auction has always strived to provide superior expertise and outstanding performance, making the auction experience an enjoyable one. Although we have participated in over 2,200 auctions, we understand that each auction is unique to our seller.
Richie is a full-time auctioneer and a licensed real estate agent. Within a few months of completing high school he enrolled in Mendenhall School of Auctioneering. Upon graduating, he became one of the youngest licensed auctioneers in the state of North Carolina. He grew up on a farm in rural Randolph County where he continues to work the land that has been in his family for five generations.

Richie Hughes Auction & Real Estate is, in my mind, one of the premier auction companies in state of North Carolina. From the initial consultation, taking pictures, and advertising to set up, sale day, and post sale clean up, Richie and his team show that they have what it takes. Between Richie and his brother Zac they will make sure that you get top dollar for your personal property and real estate. If you want an auction company that is thorough, honest as the day is long, has great staff, cares about the seller as well as the buyer, and actually sees you as a person and not just another dollar
