My name is Kelsey and I am the owner of K-Adams Foto, your favorite McHenry County photographer! My business is located in McHenry IL, northwest of Chicago, and I provide my photography services to small business owners and individuals in McHenry County and the surrounding areas. I received a bachelor's degree of Fine Arts in Digital Photography from the Illinois Institute of Art - Schaumburg in 2011.
A showcase of my work including community events and various projects with the different affiliations I work with in McHenry County featured in various publications. From Shamrocks The Fox to Fiesta Days to McHenry County makers, local businesses and more. I capture the moments that inspire people to come to McHenry County and brings joy to those who live here.
With photography being my passion and my job, I like to keep myself enjoying what I love most by exploring the world around me and capturing the moments I encounter. As a hobby, I restore old windows, frames and household items and display my nature photography in art exhibits & Craft Fairs in Illinois.

Kelsey photographed my wedding and the pictures are absolutely amazing! The image quality and balance of colors is beautiful and she was on point when it came to making sure everyone was photographed. She is both patient and a clear communicator: she had clear instructions to have people move around in the photo to make sure that someone didn't have a shadow cast on their face or a natural feature 'sprouting' from someone's head, there was symmetrical spacing between individuals, etc (all those little things you don't think of when you take a picture but the first to notice

I had my daughter’s picture taken at Above The Barre dance studio for my daughter’s ballet class. Kelsey was really professional. She took the time and care to adjust the lighting for my daughter’s glasses so we could see her eyes. When we have her pictures taken for school, many photographers don’t do this so her eyes are hidden/blocked. She even took a picture of my daughter with her bestie that came with us, which was sweet and something she definitely didn’t have to do. It made her bestie feel included. Kelsey has a warm, bubbly personality that helped the kids relax and feel at ease

K Adam's did a photo shoot with my family for mothers day. Even with it raining a bit, she still was there and took some amazing photos of my family. She is so friendly and professional. Her photo quality is fantastic! We also had 2 kids under 1 year old. She was able to keep their attention and get some great photos while keeping the attention of the 4 other kids ranging from 3 to 8. She is amazing!
