Services
Acupuncture is an essential component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a complete system of healthcare used successfully for at least 4,000 years. It works with the body's vital energy, or "Qi, " to restore proper communication between and function of the body's systems, organs and glands. Although "Qi" is an Oriental concept, it is a fact that our body's control system, the brain and rest of the nervous system, operates on electrical energy.
In practice since 1998, Ann's approach balances medical knowledge with holistic perception, intuition, and genuine caring. Her goal is to find what will work best for each patient. Ann makes the treatment a relaxing experience, and is known for her gentle touch and calming presence. During your first visit, Ann will assess your condition and formulate an individualized, results-oriented treatment plan.
In practice since 2001, Dr. Houghton works with patients to discover and understand the factors that impact their health, both positively and negatively, in order to empower them to achieve their health goals. With every new patient, Dr. Houghton completes a comprehensive review of each person's health history, performs appropriate physical exams and orders any necessary laboratory tests.
Jim Gilkeson has more than forty years of experience in meditation and energy healing. He is the author of two books on energy healing, A Pilgrim in Your Body: Energy Healing and Spiritual Process and Energy Healing: A Pathway to Inner Growth. He lived in Europe for eleven years, where he returns regularly to teach energy healing in Scandinavia.
From downtown Ashland, turn down Oak Street, past B and A Streets, over the railroad tracks, and look for Clear Creek Drive on your right, just past the Ashland Lumber yard.
Clear Creek is a small street that parallels the railroad tracks, before you come to the big intersection at Hersey St. Look for the third parking lot on the left side, just after the road curves to the right, and turn in to the left, alongside the brick and cinderblock building where our address sign is located: 149, 151, 153.Now look to the back end of the lot for our sign and the walkway leading to our building.
