Also known as Doc, this dentist of 40+ years has learned how to be efficient and gentle while taking care of the most difficult dentistry. Quite often treatments are finished to the surprise of patients without them even noticing the grand events going on in their mouth! Starting his practice in 1978 his devotion to his hometown community, practice, patients, and staff doesn't come close to describing this one-in-a-million Dentist.
Ideally we like to start with a new patient exam, but we understand emergencies do come up. We will recommend a full exam once the emergency has been dealt with. Your first visit will typically consist of an examination, x-rays, and a discussion of your "chief concern" or what is most important to you for us to address.
How are we different? We offer our patients great quality, long lasting dental care that solves their problems and offers the best value. We forego some of the latest gadgets and fads if they don't improve the quality or value. One example of that would be a laser device to replace the "drill." The laser sounds like it is state of the art, but it smells like burning flesh and costs a fortune.
For many years the dental profession has been known for promoting prevention of disease as being the most effective way for people to maintain healthy teeth at a minimal cost. The message has been summed up as "brush twice a day, limit sugar, and visit your dentist twice a year." This advise is still true, but there is more to the story.

Dr Sachau has been our family dentist for over 30 years and he does an amazing job. He does a great job fixing my teeth. The older I get the more important this is!! He is patient and considerate, answers all my questions and explains my options in a caring and thorough way. Helen at the front desk is wonderful. She is incredibly caring, helpful and professional.
