Chiropractor Dr. Joel Casteel moved to State College from Clearfield County, PA and established Casteel Chiropractic of State College in 2003. He truly enjoys living in the State College area and its surrounding communities. It is hard to beat the beauty that it has to offer. The area is populated by a wonderful combination of hard working people, that can be found everywhere from dairy farms to collegiate classrooms.

I'm sure you're wondering how something 60 years ago could change my life. My grandfather graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic to become the first Chiropractor in our family. In 1952 he moved into the Clearfield area and opened up the first Casteel Chiropractic Office. All three of his sons, one of whom is my dad, become Chiropractors.
At Casteel Chiropractic of State College, we use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our clinical judgment and years of experience. Testing the strength of specific muscles of your body helps us find structural, chemical and mental problems and monitor your results.
The first visit usually takes around 30 minutes. We will have some paperwork to fill out and any insurance card or information needs to be given to my assistants Heidi or Carol. Once the paperwork is completed you will be put into a room to watch a brief video on the basics of chiropractic. Once the video is completed Dr. Casteel will review your case history and perform an examination and any necessary spinal x-rays.

I've been seeing Casteel for years. Phenomenal office. They work with the horrible VA on the insurance end. They're very understanding and accommodate any needs I've ever had. Joel Casteel listens to your specific complaints of pain and tightness. I've never left there with anything, but the best experience.

I have been going to a chiropractor since 1986 for 2 herniated disc’s, so when we moved to state college 16 years ago I searched for a good chiropractor and after trying 3 or 4 other chiropractors , Dr Joel was the first chiropractor that took X-rays before he did any adjustments!
He is very knowledgeable and helps me with all my aches and pains!!

Also Chrissy at the front desk is awesome, she deals with all the insurance problems and is very nice to have a conversation with!!

I’ve been coming here for about 4 years and it has always been a pleasant experience. They were very understanding when I cancelled 2 appointments last minute.
