Services
Kimberly James is from Colorado originally and now lives in Utah. She has been working with our company for many years now, and was a favorite patient before that! She is trained as a dental assistant, but we appreciate her skills as an office manager as well. Kimberly is married to her loving husband, Mark, and they have four beautiful daughters.
Dr. Scott Stapley has been a practicing dentist for over 16 years. Born and raised in Utah, he attended Brigham Young University and received his dental degree at Case Western Reserve University. He also served as an officer in the United States Air Force where he completed an Advanced Education General Dentistry residency program and was awarded the commendation medal for outstanding service.

Strange practices. I showed up to have some fillings and they told me how much I was required to pay. So I paid with my FSA. Then I asked for my receipt because with FSA’s they require documentation for the purchase. The lady acted like it was so weird that I would want a receipt. She said, “you want the receipt for your services?” I said, “Yes, isn’t that what I just paid you for?” She said, “oh we can’t give you a receipt until after your services.” 🤔 Okay…. Torn on this place. Most of the dentist here are great but specifically Dr Mathews I had a pretty bad experience with. I had crown done here 2 years ago that fell off twice, so they decided to redo the crown. Dr Matthews was very rushed, the initial needle for numbing has usually been no big deal for me as the dentist tends to go slow and watch for pain. Dr Matthews took the bandaid approach and just shoved it in there, causing the worst pain I've had at a dentist in my life. He then proceeded to shape the tooth very rapidly like he was trying to win a race or something. The crown came out and

My family and I have been going to Traverse Mountain Family Dental for 5+ years and we have only had positive experiences. The staff is friendly and helpful and goes the second mile to keep me informed regarding my treatment plan. I have had more that one emergency visit, and the doctors were awesome to fit me in to their busy schedules and see me in a timely manner. And my hygienist is wonderful...very sensitive to my particular mouth issues.

I was SO impressed with the kindness I received from the staff! They were very friendly and attentive! The reason for my visit was to get a second opinion. I was experiencing complications with an implant that was previously done with another dentist, and Dr. Scott Stapley was so knowledgeable with the issue I was having, and suggested what needed to be done to have it corrected. I felt reassured to move forward with the best possible outcome. I would highly recommend Traverse Mountain Family Dental for all your dental needs!

First time there and service was fenomenal. I was a little nervous since our previous family dentist was so awesome, but I can’t drive back and for to another state just for a dentist appointments lol. I thought It would be hard to find another good one in Utah, but staff was awesome and the doctor was good. Hoping my experience continues to be great since I’m planning on using the ortho for my son. Seriously considering on making them my family dentist for years to come 🤗.
