Pin Point Massage
Why am I different from other run of the mill type Swedish massage? The type of massage I do is a mix of multiple techniques that come from being an Athletic Trainer (think sports medicine/PT) as well as a Massage Therapist. This kind of massage gets deeper into the muscle in order to help realign muscle fibers and help get function back to muscles that have been locked or stagnant due to daily life.

I specialize in the massage techniques of medical massage, sports massage, therapeutic massage, and trigger point therapy. Along with massage, I also offer Dry Needling. Using these techniques of soft tissue manipulation, I am able to alleviate points of adhesion and congestion and address the underlying cause of chronic pain.
Services
One of the instigators of pain is a trigger point. Trigger points are a tight irritated point in a taught band of muscle fiber characterized by referral pain and tenderness to the touch. Trigger points are developed either acutely, by an isolated incidence of injury, or chronically, repetitive use of the same muscles or actions, creating tightness and dysfunction in the muscle.
Dry Needling is an orthopedic technique that uses a solid filament needle to treat trigger points. It is best explained as a combination of massage and acupuncture where acupuncture grade sterile needles are inserted directly in to trigger points in the muscle fiber. If you remember, trigger points are localized, palpable, and highly irritable points in a taut band of muscle fibers.

Finally found a therapist to understand and fix my issue! I've had SI Joint / back pain for years. I've seen a couple different therapists that would work on my back to alleviate the pain but it would always quickly return. I almost gave up trying to fix it until I found Matti. Her analysis and understanding of the human body and how everything is intertwined is exactly what I needed to finally figure out and fix what was causing the issue. She isn't afraid of applying the pressure needed to really fix the issue. Highly recommend

I have been going to Maddi for many years. Pin.point massage is exactly what you need to relieve pain and stay active. I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; this means my body is continuously getting beat down. Maddi's know-how keeps me on the mats and feeling good. Right, when I arrive on scene, Maddi is attentive and thorough, always taking the time to understand what is going on in my body. She asks a multitude of questions, making sure she gets right to the areas that need her attention. HIRE MADDI; you will not be disappointed.

Critical: Professionalism
This woman has a chip in her shoulder and thinks she's doing you a favor by giving you an appointment. My first session with her further aggravated a secondary issue so I asked her to get me in sooner if she could. I didn't blame her for the secondary issue. I believe it was just a part of working all the parts of my muscle issues out. My second session lasted less than ten minutes before I called it. It was extremely painful. I asked her the question "does it feel tight?" and she responded with "not really". That prompted me to ask

Matti is excellent! She has an incredible educational background and a superior understanding of anatomy and how the body works. She has helped both myself and my husband facilitate healing of injuries too. If you are in the Denver area, she is a MUST SEE! Worth every penny!

Hello!
Do you love a massage that goes deep, hits all the sore spots and fixes your problems?

I have been going to see Matti for the last year or so, she started out working with Thom Body Theory (my chiropractor) and is now doing massage out of his office.

The techniques employed by Matti focus on releasing trigger points and addressing the root of your pain and problem areas.

This is not a relaxing or sensual experience. This is effective body work. It has been the only thing that fixes my chronic back and neck issues.

Sitting at a desk all day locks up my shoulders and lower back. 90

Matti is an excellent massage therapist!!! She was very knowledgeable about how the body works, and more importantly how to fix what was ailing mine. I have seen her several times when my tense neck and back leave me with horrible migraines - after she works out the knots, no more headache!
