Alimony can be one of the more complicated and highly contested issues in a Florida divorce. The courts in Florida have been given the discretion to award alimony. Although discretionary, the court's award or denial of alimony must fall within the statutory parameters of Section 61.08 of the Florida Statutes.
The filing fee to initiate a divorce in Florida is $409.00. The Clerk of Court will also charge $10.00 to issue the summons so that a licensed process server or a deputy will serve process on the opposing party. The Clerk of Court also charges a $5 statutory fee for paying the filing fees electronically.

Mr. Cunha and his team handled my case brilliantly! I made the mistake of hiring a different attorney before I met James.
