We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner in a private room. The atmosphere was lovely and they had the appetizers ready when we walked in. We had a menu of four entrees I had selected. A lovely menu (without prices) was sitting at each place. Everyone loved the food! We had vegetarian and seafood options as well as steak and smoked pork chops.

This was my first time in the new restaurant since the renovation. Its absolutely stunning! I love the flow of the seating and decor. The area in general seems larger and so much brighter! The fireplace is my favorite part. They have seating all over and I love that. The menu changed as well. Everything I got was delicious.

Used to love this place and would always visit for a Filet Mignon. Recently renovated and changed menu. It is also even more expensive than it used to be. The sirloin (I believe) or one of the other steaks is now more expensive than the filet was. Very disappointing there is no filet, but it would be unreasonable if they still offered it. Thank goodness for restaurant.com gift cert! Hope they don't ever stop that. Had the salmon, which was fairly good, but may try a steak next time. Place looks really nice and staff was nice. Will likely give it one more shot, then decide if I it is worth the 25

The remodeled James is awesome, so inviting, warm, & friendly. Had lunch there today with some friends and the atmosphere and food was great. The French onion soup was delicious and the turkey burger was the… best in town. They use fresh ground Turkey, most local restaurants have changed and are using frozen Turkey burgers and they are not tasty. Thank You!

We tried to grab a seat here on a Friday night but were turned away since we didn't have a reservation. Luckily we were able to get a seat the next night and service was great. We enjoyed the falafel bites appetizer. I had the bacon, apple, gorgonzola pizza and LOVED it, would absolutely recommend! My boyfriend got the pizza with pepperoni, sausage, peppers and broccolini, he liked it but agreed that my pizza was better. We would definitely eat here again if we were back in the area.

Update 10-21 The newly renovated indoor restaurant has opened. It is completely different from before. It is much brighter with more windows. The bar is as you walk in and much sleeker. Nicely decorated. Food is basically as it was outside in the summer for lunch. Haven't been for dinner.
Update 6- 2021: Outdoor seating from about April through mid-October is quite nice. They've added some large converted areas for hot days and have some heaters for child evenings Lunch choices are quite good-- falafel and sweet potato fries.
From a while ago: Choices are ok but the kitchen is inconsistent. Individual

I travel for work and obviously eat along the way. I stayed at the holiday inn connected to "The James Restaurant".
The room was good and the patio currently being used to seat for the restaurant while under remodeling was nice for sitting outdoors.
The food however was beyond deplorable. For starters I ordered overnuked in micro beer pretzels with watery cheese sauce. Then,
I ordered what they called a smoked pork chop, which for one was not smoked, (I'm in the meat business), and was more like a big slab of salt pork. In the morning I had breakfast "ala carte". I had what they called corned

Had to eat here because they messed up my reservation. I ordered the small salad and the grilled sirloin. Sirloin has never been my choice of steak but it's all they have except the pricier tenderloin. The salad is not fresh. The steak is very chewy and salty. It's not my kind of restaurant and foods.
