Steve Koon started this business over thirty years ago, with degrees in horticulture and floriculture from none other than Colorado State University. He's also been a board member of Greenco and President of the Garden Centers of Colorado. We've worked on behalf of Colorado's most distinctive residential and commercial properties.

Steve Koon Landscape and Design owns and operates its own tree farm and nursery featuring species such as Blue Spruce, Pines, Aspen, Oak, Locust, Ash, and Hackberry. The logic is simple - flora that grows at this altitude will do better in your yard. We maintain control during the lifecycle, resulting in faster growth and the best possible outcome.
A stone wall can be either a sight to behold or an eyesore. Steve Koon specializes in the former. We believe in using native stone. And native stone is in abundance here. So, our rock artisans have no shortage of sandstone, graite, moss rock, river rock and other appropriate materials with wich to build their walls, patios, fire pits, fireplaces, and walks.
The sound of moving water is especially pleasing. Therefore, you might wish a water feature to be included in your landscape. Our expertise in the creation of natural landscape environments and naturalized plantings means your waterfall, fishpond, fountain or spa will blend seamlessly. Even larger water features such as a swimming pool can be beautifully integrated within a system of patios and plantings.
A garden can be planned, but never forced. So the design build process is something we take very seriously. First, we talk over the desired look and feel of the project. Then we survey the site and provide working blue prints which detail planting of trees, shrubs, perennial borders, cutting gardens and annual beds; placement of any walks, stone walls, water features, arbors, trellises, decks, etc. and finally irrigation and drainage.
