Hubbell Marine Insurance is owned and operated by Army Veteran, Clayton Hubbell. Clayton grew up in the city of Ojai, California and spent his youth surrounded by the boating industry. As the son of a merchant mariner and boat insurance industry icon it was only natural that his passion for boats would lead him to owning his own Insurance agency.

Deep roots is probably the best way to describe this company. Clayton is a second-generation boat insurance guy with a better understanding of watercraft and insurance needs than anyone I've ever met. He's tight with the upper management of all the major marine insurance carriers, knows his way around every aspect of the business, and he's RESPONSIVE.

Clayton and I have been colleagues and friends for well over 10 years. I worked for Markel as a marine underwriter, and it was always so comforting to know that when a potential boat insurance customer called, I knew I had an agent in CA that I could trust to provide them excellent, knowledgable service. It didn't matter if it was a jetski or a $3M houseboat, I knew I could count on him to always have the customer's best interests at heart. Hubbell Marine Insurance has been our insurance provider since Clayton opened his agency.....his agency provides coverage for 5 new houseboats every year and does so with absolute professionalism and unmatched responsiveness.
