Using a combination of chiropractic adjustments, postural exercises, and spinal traction, we are able to reconstruct your ideal spinal shape. Similar to our approach for postural correction, our treatment for scoliosis includes chiropractic adjustments, postural exercises, and spinal traction. In some cases it may even require temporary bracing.

A native of Eastern Idaho, Dr. Derek Calaway grew up farming in Terreton alongside his family. Not wanting to leave the Snake River Valley he didn't have to travel far in order to attend BYU-Idaho where he majored in Exercise Physiology.
At the completion of his Bachelor's degree, Dr. Calaway, his wife, and their 2 children set out for the Bay Area of California where he not only graduated with top honors (Summa Cum Laude), but also added 2 more children to their family along the way.During his time in school, he became fascinated with the different body systems and how they are all intertwined through the nervous system.

Update: my son has been having GI issues and was in a lot of pain and miserable on the way to see Dr. Calloway. The doc is so caring and listened really well. It was like I had a different kid on the way home! He was so energetic and happy. I could tell he felt so much better!
Dr. Calloway also referred us to a counselor whom I'm very excited to work with! I'm just feeling very grateful today that our family is on our way to healing!

Dr. Calaway is a phenomenal chiropractor. Our family has been going to Elite Spinal Performance regularly for over a year. Our three year old was adjusted when he was two. He wore a head shaping helmet when he was a baby because of his torticollis. Even after the helmet he still had a little misshapenness. After his first adjustment, Derek was able to correct the head shape dramatically. One of his ears stuck out more than the other and now you wouldn't be able to notice. All of my children have had torticollis and Dr. Calaway has worked on all of them to remedy it. My third child was able to avoid

I've been going here for a year and a half now. I never feel rushed. I always feel like my time is valuable and my concerns are worth hearing out. That's not a common trait in healthcare I've found. Also the vitamins they sell, specifically the D3 5000 is working wonders for my skin health, and overall health. I believe this vitamin cleared up my eczema, and keeps it at bay.

Dr. Calaway is the best chiropractor in town. Derek is one of the most down to earth and understanding doctors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting with. He does great at adjustments but also looks into what is causing the underlying issues and creates a plan to fix the issue. If you need chiropractic care in Idaho Falls, Derek is your man.

I've been to a handful of different chiropractors over the course of my lifetime and Dr. Calaway has been my absolute favorite. He is extremely personable and easy to talk to which makes your experience very comfortable. But above and beyond that his medical approach is significantly stronger than other chiropractors. He takes his time to gain an in-depth understanding of your medical history and then puts together a personalized game plan based on what he finds. Dr. Calaway takes more time per patient than other options. He's definitely not your 4 minute chiropractor throwing you on the table
