Called this company to come identify a problem in my basement bathroom. Four men came out, first two were very kind and walked me through some options but could not identify the problem so they sent two more men out. I’ve now paid for 2 visits and a “travel fee” and nothing was fixed or resolved. After months of waiting for a “part to come in” and countless follow ups by me, I’m now getting zero responses.

We have recently used Calhoun plumbing, and Rob who came to our place to fix the water heater, took time to explain the problem, how it can be rectified and what are our options. He was punctual, called ahead of time. He was able to find parts the same day and install the next day, and offered to tune up for no additional charge. I had good experience using Calhoun plumbing and will definitely use them in future and will recommend to friends and family!!!

I had used Calhoun before at my previous house and they had done an "ok" job. Maybe cost a bit much, but ok. As a handyman I only really call a plumber for when it gets bad. Well, my new place has 40 year old plumbing and has started to get some pinhole leaks in the copper pipes. Long story short, they found a leak after six days, they fixed what they thought the leak was, didn't bother checking to find the SECOND leak right below it, then upcharged me 300-400% for parts I didn't get an estimate for.

Whenever we have a plumbing issue, Calhoun are the plumbers we call and once again, they fixed the problem. This time, we had a condensation leak coming from the attic (vent pipe). Calhoun was able to clean and repair, and also provide recommendation if it were to occur again. Rob was informative in diagnosing the problem and both Rob and Tanner were professional and did the repair quickly.

I called Calhoun Plumbing to replace my toilet shut off valve and reseat the toilet. They were able to work around my busy schedule and be at my house the next day.
The work was not straight forward, as my house was built 120 years ago and has uneven floors and a low ceiling in the basement, but the two plumbers that arrived quickly assessed the situation and fixed both issues within an hour. Cost was reasonable and both wore masks and gloves the whole time to be sensitive to the pandemic restrictions. I recommend them to homeowners on the southside!

I’m the facilities coordinator at a large department store where I am constantly interacting with outside technicians and contractors. In all of my 15 plus years of facilities maintenance experience, Calhoun plumbing is easily the most unprofessional and poorly ran company I’ve ever had the misfortune of interacting with. Emailed this company to get a quote for installing a sink in my garage. After being told from them that they don't like installing them, they said I would have to install a heater for my garage. This isn't my first rodeo with winterizing bathrooms and sinks as I grew up in New England. After several emails back and forth they finally agreed to come out and quote me. I took a 1/2 day off from work and the company confirmed the date and time twice but never showed up! No email or any other communication.

I can not say enough about this company. Our water heater went out on a Friday evening and we had been without water all weekend. We had contacted several other companies and hadn't had much luck. Most companies won't give you a quote over the phone and want a service fee just to come out. My husband called Calhoun on Monday and they luckily had a cancellation and were able to fit us in. Calhoun has become my go-to plumber for those inevitable house things that come up. They are courteous and organized, from answering the phone right away to arriving on time for appointments. They fit me in right away when I had a slow leak in my basement. More than that, they seem to actually CARE about their work. ONE STAR COMPANY! My home owners insurance assigned Calhoun Plumbing to come quote a SIMPLE water heater tank replacement. The contractor from Calhoun came to my home and said that it was an extremely COMPLICATED job. He said my entire water meter needed replace, that I needed to get a permit from the city, and that I could be looking at thousands of dollars because my pipes were brittle. He also stated that I needed to be super careful to turn my water back on and to have the city on the line because the pipes were going to burst.

Called to get someone out to look at a leak in our basement. They came quickly but came out with absolutely no diagnostic equipment. They looked around and said well we need to get our rotor rooter type camera thing out here... the guy set us up with an appointment for the next day and they never showed up! We called and they just said oh sorry must of got lost somewhere. It was written down on our receipt for $85 for the 20 minute "diagnostic visit".
