In 1973, Tom and Ray (Hey, that's us!) Magliozzi of "Car Talk" started a do-it-yourself shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts called Hacker's Haven. These were the days of car DIY so we thought, let's open a garage where folks could do their own work and we'll rent them the space and tools. Was it the brilliant million dollar Swiss bank account-worthy idea that we promised our parents it would be?

If you choose to drop your car off the night before your appointment, there is legal on-street parking on Hamilton.

The staff at Good News is incredibly friendly and honest. I took my vehicle in for a strange noise coming from the wheels, which they found the cause of but when I picked it up I discovered that it was still coming from a few of the wheels. They took the car back in to resolve the rest of the issue and had it fixed by the end of the day. The part that really won me over is that they didn't charge me for any of the extra labor which I feel pretty confident in assuming that any other garage would have. Slip ups like that happen to the best of us but it's real mark of character when you own a mistake

We came all the way from albany ny on a very important medical appointment for my mother, we were very stressed and the last 5 miles my tire had a nail in it, and they took me right away. We have to drive home in the hurricane too so we couldn’t do it on a spare. We are so grateful for their amazing customer service.
