Jerry Harper, a Southern Polytechnic State Civil Engineering graduate, had an early fascination with the way in which highly functional man-made structures were constructed. With over 50 years of experience in the industry, he retains vast knowledge coupled with a career-long devotion to quality for every project, from start to finish.
After founding Harper & Company Builders, Inc. in 1985, Mr. Harper has successfully completed hundreds of projects, accumulated a network of valuable relationships, and guaranteed a solid reputation for quality work. As Project Executive, he serves as the chief collaborator. We work alongside the design team in order to create an environment of collaborative problem-solving and innovation. By overlapping the design phase and construction phase of a project, recommendations can be made to address any changes and fit the Owner's schedule and budget.
Under the Construction Management at Risk delivery method, we work closely with both the designer and the Owner to determine the desired "bid packages" for all aspects of the project.Our firm has the ability to self-perform various aspects of construction, greatly benefiting the Owner and the overall project.

Our goal at Harper & Company Builders, Inc. is to return each construction worker, supplier, visitor, and Owner's employee safely to their family every day. Each site employee (company and subcontracted) must complete a site safety orientation prior to beginning work on each project. Site management will perform and document daily and weekly inspections through site walks and daily observations.
For every project that we build, we develop two schedules. Our construction schedules are maintained by the scheduler who produces the original schedules and who remains involved with the project until completion. Once a week, the scheduler will walk the job site and make notes on the progress of each scheduled activity.
Nothing gives us greater pleasure than driving through a town and seeing a facility that we constructed, recalling the friendships made, and remembering how proud the community was of their new facility. At Harper & Company Builders, Inc. we believe in getting it right the first time.
