I really enjoy going there! The pool is okay, drinks are good, service is super fast and the workers are super nice! Atmosphere is okay, people that play pool there take it eay too seriously and are honestly rude, but not at all the places fault. For pool I'd go to big daddys, but for more activities I'd go to the tavern! The karaoke is really fun here!

About a year ago, a guy nicknamed bear came in as I was going out for a smoke. I stuck my hand out for a handshake because I hadn't seen him in awhile. This guy hit me, twice. Before I could react a security guard got in between us and put me out in the cold while this bear guy was allowed to stay inside. Their excuse was we both couldn't be in the same building together. So they kick the victim out and let the psycho stay. Never seen anything like it before.

So, I am a big city guy that lives in the heart of Midtown Atlanta but I grew up in PTC and come back every so often to visit family.
This place isn't a big city stand still, model, and sip your cocktail kinda bar, but I enjoy the crowd; it's really the staff that I enjoy.
The customers enjoy a slower pace of life out in the burbs, but they are good people who will have your back.

New to the area, heard good things about this bar. It didn't live up to the hype. Server said they had a "full bar" and made any cocktail so I asked for a mint julep, they had no mint so I asked for an old fashioned, they had no bitters (what kind of bar doesn't have bitters?) which took away pretty much all the cocktails I liked anyway. Just had Jameson gingers which I can make at home for much cheaper so what's the point in going out for them? Service was nice but pretty inattentive, my drink would be empty before the server asked if I wanted another. Food and patronage were good at least. Asked

My family has gone here a couple of time in the last month or so. Allll good things to say about the bar and the people that go there until last night. Had I posted this last week it would have been a 5 star review but it's only 3 because of last nights bartender. They think his name was Dave. I used to live in the PTC area about 4 years ago and loved coming to "The Tavern" as a daily happy hour getaway.

This is a great little bar , the prices are pretty good and they have different things going on through out the week to do (Karaoke, bands.....). They allow smoking inside and that is great for people who smoke and don't want to have to go outside but for people who don't smoke just be prepared that it's a little Smokey .

Nice little spot to eat outside. Friendly staff and clean as well. The food was very good we only had an appetizer it what was coming out of the kitchen looked great and we didn't see anyone complaining. It's also convenient because our hotel was 100 yards away. I would def go back and try some other stuff

Visited the Tavern two weeks ago with a friend before kicking off a conference at a hotel nearby. The bar space is large with pool tables and plenty of TVs, so as a place to hang out (or dance on a weekend), I'm guessing PTC doesn't have too many spots like this. We tried the steak bites, the pepperjack mac and cheese bites, and the southwest chimi rolls. I'd get all three again...and the prices for a city-dweller from the north are pretty sweet.
