Lance Kuehne Photography
Thousands of people have collected Lance's fine art photographs. He does commercial work for clients such as the Sonoma Land Trust, and has taught photography workshops for over a decade to hundreds of students. Light, color, and form are the elements I use to capture your attention. My challenge is to not only create images that are beautiful, but also have them evoke thoughts, feelings, or memories in you.

If the photograph stays with you long after you've observed it, then I have accomplished my goal. I first studied photography in my teens, and achieved technical mastery in college. Photography has been my full-time pursuit since 2005. My archival fine art photographs are in private collections in over 40 states, and many countries.

They are made with state-of-the-art techniques, and the highest quality materials. The archival methods used for displaying the photographs will ensure they last for generations. Some places have characteristics that make them unique, in spite of chain stores. This is especially true of Petaluma, incorporated in 1858, and one of the oldest cities in California. Here you will find iconic places and events that make this a beautiful place to live in and visit. More images may be be added to this series over time.
Photograph inspiring locations while networking with fellow photographers and making new friends. Have fun while understanding your gear better as you learn skills and improve your photographic vision. You will take pictures for the rest of your life, why not make them better? For over 15 years, Lance has wandered the back roads of the North Bay Area, exploring nearly every road and open space between San Francisco and Mendocino.
These last from 6 to 8 hours. We carpool from Lance's studio, or you can join along the way. It usually 1 to 2 hours to get to our first stop, then we stop frequently as the light often gets better until sundown. After class Lance e-mails a map, so that you can revisit any spot. People do these when they want to find places to photograph, or want to learn in small doses.
These take place in California. Driving time is between 2 and 6 hours, and routes are chosen so that we can photograph along the way. Lance typically leaves in the late morning or early afternoon on a Friday (if on a weekend). The workshop begins Friday evening when we meet up for the first time (if you travel to the destination independently).

Report
I bought 2 of Lance's framed photographs for my Novato home. I wanted photos of the Marin coastline (specifically Pt. Reyes) and I am so pleased with my purchase. The photos are spectacular and the matting/framing are wonderful. They are a great addition to our master bedroom and it's wonderful to wake up and look at the beauty of them every day. Highly recommend Lance's photographic pieces.
