In 2007, our love story began in our senior year of high school and ventured off to college at California State University, San Marcos in North County San Diego! Justin earned a degree in Marketing, and Sarah in Human Development, but photography was always a passion especially for Justin.
After a few years in the corporate world, Justin began to refine his photography skills working with the company's in-house creative team - eventually getting featured in a number of local and national publications.In 2017, J.O. Photography officially launched. Since then, we've had the privilege of photographing weddings throughout California, Nevada, and Hawaii and have been voted The Knot Best of Weddings winners for 2019 and 2020.

Justin was amazing. I cannot believe how talented he is for what he charged and was so impressed by how accommodating and flexible he was with my entire plan. I hired him to be present (and hidden) during my surprise proposal in Yosemite, but I had to switch locations last minute for a variety of reasons outside my control. I offered him multiple outs but he insisted he could still complete the work despite me moving the spot over 150 miles away! I cannot recommend him enough and will definitely hire him again if we end up having our wedding in northern CA.

Justin is the best photographer ever! He is extremely knowledgeable about photography and videography. He listens to exactly what you want and puts in input about what he thinks would work best. Justin has all the equipment for a professional or just-for-fun photo shoot and/or video. Whether you want to shoot inside or outside, he can do it all! I'm normally very awkward and not very photogenic and he was able to make me look natural and model status! I even had a neck injury (where I was very limited in a lot of poses) the day he filmed me and you can't even tell at all! I had him do
