The staff at Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry understands that dental office visits can cause anxiety - for our patients AND their parents. We're trained to work with kids of all ages, and we do our best to ensure that every patient and parent is as comfortable as possible. Preventive care is the key to lifelong dental health.
In many cases, children sail through their young years without dental complications or unusual conditions. At Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry, we are prepared to treat our patients from Peoria, AZ, and the surrounding areas for a wide array of dental conditions. Have you noticed that one of your child's front teeth is turning black, gray, or even purplish?
Your portion of the payment is expected at the time treatment is rendered unless you have made prior arrangements. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Financing is offered through CareCredit. Pediatric dentistry is an ADA recognized dental specialty that focuses on the oral health of young people.
We try our best to accommodate our patients as much as possible when scheduling appointments. Some appointments may require the child to miss some school. We do attempt to work with neighboring school's schedules to keep appointments requiring missed school to a minimum.
We have found that children with extensive dental work or preschool-age children are better seen early in the morning when they are fresher and can have a more positive experience.Your child and their smile are our number one priority. It was our second visit today and it was just as pleasant as our first. I accidentally showed up at the wrong time (too early) and they where kind enough to squeeze me in! Although I would have completely understand if they could have not I appreciate it so much. Also I was impressed that the doctor remember a little about of previous conversation 6 months ago! Front and back office staff where very friendly and professional! Thank you again!

The staff is so friendly and we’ve never waited past our appointment time. The doctor is gentle and knowledgeable, and he never makes us feel rushed! The entire process is swift and easy which is a must with little ones. They even give the kids tokens for prizes at the end of the visit. Highly recommend.

I’m in love with this office. The staff is absolutely amazing ! My 2 year old been seeing Jamie for teeth cleaning. I truly believe because of her my daughter loves going to these appointments she makes the service fun. During the service I just sit relaxed while Jamie sings songs, talks to her about favorite toys ect. Dr. Petruzzi is the doctor that always checks the work and answers all of my questions. I love how he truly takes his time to educate me I never feel rushed. Dr. Petruzzi also takes his time to get to know his patients and educate the little ones in a way that makes sense to them

This review is for the office manager Kendall. My family has issues with her for several years and continued to take her unprofessional, disrespectful and incapable attitude because we love Dr. Whelan and the other staff. However we will no longer be going there until someone else has her position. I have to give one star because no one should be put at risk with her working there.
My husband and I have 4 kids together. I under and having more then one patient in the same household and different insurances can be frustrating and difficult. I still think that the office should be capable of handling

I got a written referral specifically to this place from our family dentist who recommended a pediatric dentist. I called and explained that my child has an abscess and an infection and he needs two baby teeth pulled per our regular dentist (again who recommended this pediatric office), and I was told the first available appointment is ONE MONTH out!!!
It is NOT an option to wait that long!! I think they should keep open some appointments for emergencies for the kiddos instead of turning them away, which gives the feeling that they don't care about a kid with an emergency!!

Dr. Whelan and his entire staff (from the front desk to the scheduling) were SO helpful and acknowledging. Amy (the dental assistant) thoroughly explained every part of my son's upcoming procedure. They assured us he would be properly taken care of!

We've been going to Pleasant Pediatric for years! They are honest, courteous, great with children, and very timely (never a long enough wait for my kids to finish their video game or watching the show on tv - LOL)
I highly recommend this office! If you have multiple kids, schedule them at the same time and they'll put up to 3 in the same room - it's a great feature and SO efficient!!!

We have been coming to Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry for almost a decade. I drive 40 minutes to take my boys there and 40 minutes back home. They are totally worth the drive and haven't even thought about changing. We see Dr. Petruzzi and always have a great experience. The front office staff are always very nice and welcoming and the hygienists are always very sweet and patient with the kids. Highly recommend them!

A pleasure as always! I am so happy we found a dentist where my kids actually look forward to going to an appointment. The staff are all exceptional and Dr. Whelan puts the kids at ease by explaining everything so they understand. Another thing he does to make the kids comfortable is remembers (checks the chart) for birthday's or special things they talked about at the last visit. My daughters eyes lit up when he wished her a happy birthday at the last visit. Tiny detail that made her relaxed and happy.

We love Dr. Whalen and his staff. My children actually love going to the dentist and Dr Whalen is always so great at explaining everything he is doing. He also did my daughter's frenectomy and everything went smoothly and she healed perfectly. I recommend Dr Whalen and his office to all my friends and family who have children! Best dentist in town!

I didn't wait they waited on me to finish paper work. I went in nervous as this was my 9 month old daughters first appt and she just hit her tooth so I knew she would not be too happy about having strangers looking in her mouth. They were very quick claim and made it as pleasant as they could for her. I love that they make you feel as if you are their only patient. I was informed on what to except going forward with books pictures and a little humor. I was smiling even if my daughter was still trying to decide how she felt. I will recommend them to anyone with kids.

So Grateful for this practice! I have a special needs daughter who hasn't been to the dentist since we moved to the area a couple years ago and I am so glad I found Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Whalen and his staff are so compassionate, caring, and patient while being professionals. They were so supportive of me as a parent filled with so much anxiety about my daughter's care and her tendency to fight having her teeth examined and cleaned. Thank you so much to this wonderful place! The office is nicely decorated with kids toys and pictures of animals. Highly recommend them.

Love Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry! The staff is all amazing, we love both Dr. Whelan and Dr. Petruzzi. I took my kids to a different dentist at first and was not at all impressed. I was later refered to Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry to see Dr. Whelan and I couldn't be happier! My kids LIKE to go to the dentist now!!! I highly recommend them!!!
