Have been using Artic Air for a half dozen years with good service. This time was different. I asked for fluid changes and general inspection of a used vehicle I had purchased. I also stated the "check engine soon" light was on. Was told transmission and brake fluids not possible due to lift limitations.
When I picked the vehicle up the check engine lite was still on. It had not been written on the work order. The bill indicated oil and coolant changes and a 30 point vehicle inspection.
Artic Air was short on staff - two at front desk and two working in the bays. I am very disappointed at this

We've trusted this place for over 6 years. There's a new lead guy at the front who tells you like it is. They actually took my car out and told me VW was lying to me and didn't charge me a dime for the test. I'm not saying they'll do that for everyone but they are good people. I'm going back there instead of VW from now on.

Adding on to Original Complaint, so that all new customers know what kind of man the owner is.
Bryan U. (the owner) is the man who was standing next to my car. He is the man who said that my car will be ready in an hour after being told that it would be ready in 5 minutes after removing coolant. After I left the shop, my car overheated, I blew a head gasket and my registration sticker was gone from my license plate. No proof, but this is exactly how it went down.
I made a call to the highly recommended Arctic Air. It was a Wednesday and they gave me their first appointment 8 am Monday morning

Artic Auto Air is one of the best shops around. I have taken a couple cars here multiple times for repairs being needed, shop owners/ employees were very respectful towards me, honest, and professional, the prices were also very good and the wait time was always short. They will always keep you updated on the status of your car while you are waiting for maintenance to be done and will guide you honestly of what is needed for a complete repair. Seems like a nice place with good people, but with just one experience here, it’s hard to give a detailed review. We paid for the thorough check-up on our car. I was a bit concerned because they said the oil was 7k miles overdue. The oil had just been changed at home by a friend, but the sticker said it was 7k mikes overdue. Seems to me like they didn’t actually check the oil, but only looked at the sticker. I was happy with their other observations on our car.

Every visit I have made to Artic Air I was greeted with professionalism. I was impressed with the order and cleanliness of the front area, which makes one believe that it is carried out in the actual work being done. The "Mrs." of the company appeared each time and conveyed a welcoming warm vibe each time, like they really care about their customers.
