Pediatric Dental Group Of Colorado
Check out our blog for the latest information in your child's dental health. From instilling proper and effective dental habits to how baby teeth help shape your child's speech. Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age.
Services
Dr. David Strange has lived in Colorado since 1977. He attended grade school and high school on the "west" side of town and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. The foothills of Golden and the flatirons of Boulder are truly home to him.

When he isn't in the offices playing with the children, a privilege he tries to convince the rest of us is actually work, you can find him on the slopes of Copper Mountain or at a crowded Folsom stadium watching his beloved Colorado Buffaloes.Dr. Strange and his wife, Erin, live in Golden with their three children, Clara, Marshall and Sullivan.
All of our pediatric dental practices are built specifically with children in mind. The open bay treatment areas, child friendly themes, and parent friendly atmosphere are designed to enhance your family's dental visit. We strive to deliver fun, caring dental experiences to our patients. We take pride in caring for our community by providing high quality, conveniently accessible, compassionate oral health care.
At Pediatric Dental Group of Colorado we are Creating Positive & Rewarding Dental Experiences for Patients & their Parents. Own and operate contemporary dental practices designed to provide affordable excellent pediatric dentistry and orthodontics to a broad range of socioeconomic families in the varied communities within which the practices are located, as well as, provide respectable personal income and benefits for the staff and dentists.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort. School children with a lot of dental work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.

I love the dentists and assistants that have taken care of both my girls for the past 3 years. I give them the highest merit for care!!!

I cannot say the same for their admin. The reception is unpleasent from the initial check in through any changes or scheduling. Not only are they annoyed with requests, but unorganized. I hope they organization addresses these issues.

I love this place! My son is 3 and he actually enjoys going to the dentist. They are gentle and kind, I also feel as though they are honest with me about what needs to be done. He also loves getting his token to get a prize at the end. We never end up waiting long and it's easy to set up an appointment with them.

Dr. Cathers has been my sons dentist since he was 2 and he is now 15. We would never go anywhere else. As far as the staff, they are amazing, as well. They have all been there for many years and are knowledgeable, kind to all the children, professional technique, professional attire and the keep the parents informed. Yes, it true that the tables are in a semi-circle but those seem to be for check-ups and cleanings. If the child needs anything more and may need to be sedated they are moved to a private room. My son grew up with Dr Calthers and his staff and I no complaints whatsoever. Frankly

First, I'll start by saying that the practice has a bible verse right in your face when you walk in the door; very distasteful IMO.

Second, the staff isn't exactly pleasant and they use too much force to complete what they see as the task at hand. My daughter is now terrified of the dentist, before this experience she was excited to see the dentist. So, in short, they failed at the main task which would be creating a favorable first impression of the dentist.

Third, the patient area has absolutely no privacy what so ever! It's just rows of "tables" like a temporary triage

My children have been patience at this practice for about three years. We have always had a great experience until our last visit in July. I can say after this visit I will not return to this practice. My four year old has always been a little reluctant with any cleaning, but the Dentist has always been able to take time with her. Not on the visit my children had never seen Dr. killin before, right off the bat my four year old was not willing to lay back on the table. So she was forced by Dr. Killin to lay back which scared her and she started to scream and cry, which I know can be a problem.

Dr. Cathers and every single staff member is so sweet and wonderful! My toddler was so scared about her first visit to the dentist but we have now been twice and every time we drive by the office, she happily points and says, "There's Dr. Cathers!" She now looks forward to going...to the dentist! This is ground-breaking!

I love love love the dentists and their assistants here! They were so very nice to my kiddos and myself. They explained all that they did and made my son feel very comfortable. They had my so. Pick a movie which showed on a t.v. on the ceiling so my son was entertained while getting a root canal.
My only complaints would be that they aren't in network with our insurance but I like them so much I will still continue to go to them and the girls at the front desk don't seem too friendly. They kept their heads down and kind of acted annoyed by us checking in.

Our son was very tongue-tied and losing weight, so our pediatrician recommended this office to have it fixed. They fit us in the same day, and we're wonderful, fast and just so caring. They even invited me to stay in the room and breastfeeding to see how it goes and calm my baby down. I'll definitely be back once we have some teeth to look at. :-)

We also met Dr. cathers because our son was tongue-tied. He came very highly recommended by our lactation consultant (Amanda Ogden who was also wonderful) as the best person in town to do the procedure to release his tongue. He was so gentle with our son who was only 6 days old and made us feel so comfortable with our brand new baby in his care. We will be seeing him when it's time to begin dentistry, were so glad to have been pointed in the right direction!
