Dr. Jen Malter is originally from Southern California and completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara before moving north up the coast. She spent 12 years at her last practice, both as a licensed veterinary technician, and then as a doctor after graduating from Oregon State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the clinic immediately.

Dr Malter and her staff have been absolutely amazing for my furry family. They have all consistently gone above and beyond for all of my dogs, doggy emergencies, and myself as a puppy mom. I trust them implicitly with the care and wellbeing of my most beloved family members and could not imagine having anyone else care for us. Dr. Malter always explains everything thoroughly, responds promptly, and goes out of her way to make caring for my dogs straight forward and affordable. Everyone is patient, and compassionate and I am forever grateful for them.

It is extremely difficult to get in touch to schedule an appointment. They rarely answer the phone, appointments are booked very far in advance and then the waiting room is over crowded- so expect to wait a good twenty minutes past your scheduled appointment time! A very frustrating experience.

Dr. Malted had called me for interview after getting my resume. I had offered Volunteer service as well as job. I was told they needed employees ASAP. I was told I would be contacted by end of week. There was no contact. I followed up 3 times 2 by phone 1by walking in.. Again no response. I have held a management position for over 20 years. A simple call is at very least is very rude. 30 seconds of your time. The vet had not opened for business yet, so no over flow of animals. I would never take my pet there due to not only lack of communication but also being very rude.

Cannot say enough about the Clinic and Dr Jen Malter. They are the absolute best! Very professional as well as extremely caring, not only for our dogs but for their humans.
We had to say our forever goodbye to our beloved Romeo. Dr Jen and the entire staff were so incrediably caring and supportive during the entire diffucult time. We cannot thank them enough.

I wanted to make sure I gave this pet clinic a five star review I don't know why I had put four and I really regret that. I now bring my new pitbull puppy Violet to the clinic. My beautiful dog of 14 years passed away in May of thyroid cancer after my other pitbull passed away of lymphoma in 2017. I now have my new baby pitbull Violet that I love so much!!!
I will be getting another puppy next year from the same person. I cannot say enough about this clinic I love them so much I'm just upset that I didn't give a five star is the first time.

Dr Jenn and her staff are the best. They all take time to actually know their clients and provide the best care. All of our 2 cats 2 dogs, hamsters care has been by far superior. She makes us feel like family. Every time they make sure you understand what is happening even when our 17 year old dog was dying she was so compassionate and caring. She is definitely not in the veterinarian business to make money either. She makes sure patients are all treated equal and helps others in need. She has always been an outstanding member of our community.

I was calling to get my pet in. JUST A CALL. However, I was talked to as if I deprive my pet. Maybe before you use a TONE with a person on the phone you might want to remember we all love our animals and that we all cant afford to bring them in all the time. That does not make us bad pet owners. Your tone with your customer on the phone makes people go someplace else. Remember that you are the first person that they hear and the last impression they get when they leave. I hope you read that again.

Arrived on a Friday morning @ 8 am when they opened up with my cat in obvious discomfort. Told them my cat was suffering and in all lot of discomfort and possibly would have to be put down. They told me they were not taking new customers and go somewhere else. Cat had to suffer all day before I could have a different vet put him to sleep.
I hope these jerks choke on their next meal.

They are the best thing that has ever happened to Lincoln City OR. Dr Jen is top notch and a staff that couldn't be better. My beloved best friend has terrible allergies ( most Westie's do have skin problems ) and once again Dr Jen to the rescue. I will post a new picture very soon so you can see how fast he recovers. If not for Dr. Jen he would start to be suffering but her knowledge of animals on the coast is a mountain of wealth. So glad she is here to stay and moving to an even bigger Facility. Our elderly Lab mix Zoey received Star Treatment from the whole staff. Zoey ended up with an eye issue. Being a new patient at this clinic they gave her a full exam with Love and Care. The assistant also clipped her nails as part of the appointment, She was also gentle and very caring and made our Zoey feel at ease.

When we arrived back in Lincoln City recently (our second home,) we noticed our cat had a chunk of fur missing from the underside of her tail and an area of bleeding we hadn't noticed. We called Oceanlake Vet, and they got us in the same day. We can't thank Dr. Corbett enough for the outstanding care she and staff provided. This vetinary clinic is the best. Jen and the staff are so personable, kind, and gentle. I've been taking my old dog there for many years, with multiple different problems. My main concern was always what his quality of life would be like. Jen was amazing, and was always open and honest with me. When the day came where he was in too much pain, I took him here for his last day.

Dr. Malter and her staff are wonderful - excellent professionals as well as exceptionally caring human beings. They assisted me through a year of serious hospice care for one dog and a year of accidents w a very energetic risk taking puppy. Im so glad we have them here in the Coast. I can't recommend them enough.

Great, friendly vet clinic. Only suggestion would be that they implement the use of having callers hit the # key to bypass there extraordinarily LONG voicemail if they happen to be busy at the moment. They give a 5 minute voicemail on where to take pets in emergency and other things. Very frustrating when you have limited minutes on a cell phone. Thank you

We are from out of town and our standard schnauzer was showing signs of stomach or back pains. I found Oceanlake Veterinary on Yelp and trusted the reviews. They were able to get us right in. Dr. Jen Malter and her staff were wonderful! Dr. Malter got down on the floor and thoroughly examined her. She took her time and was very thorough. She gave us instructions on how to get in touch with her after hours and also told us to call any time if we have questions. I wish her clinic was in Vancouver, WA or Portland, because my husband and I were very impressed and would go to her as our regular

We were on vacation in Lincoln City when our dog hurt his paw. They were able to get us in the same morning we called. Everyone was so friendly and really put our dog, who is always nervous at the vet, at ease. The vet tech, Shelly, was absolutely wonderful with him. We would be patients for life if we lived closer. Visited Oceanlake Vet today for a sick exotic and really liked this Vet. Not only was the doctor really listening to my concerns she really explained what was going on with our little Pip. The staff was great as well. We will be switching Vets and bringing our animals to Oceanlake. Really great experience!

Had and emergency with my dog while visiting from out of town thinking she broke her tail/back. Not knowing what to do, I picked a random vet clinic online. The staff here was so helpful and was able to diagnose her quickly. After Jennifer (the Veterinarian) took a good look at her, she diagnosed her with what is often called, "Swimmers Tail" or "Broken Wag". VERY WELL PRICED VISIT after a full check up, nail clipping, and a supply of doggie-drugs until she is feeling better.
I trust this vet more than I trust the one in my hometown. They were very caring, friendly, and insightful
