Because puppies and kittens have less developed immune systems, they are far more susceptible to disease and parasitic infection. During puppy and kitten wellness exams, vital statistics are taken and recorded. Depending on the age of your pet, we might also perform lab work to provide a comparative chart for future visits.
Started by Vets. Loved by Pets. Pets can experience many of the same dental issues that humans do, including gingivitis, periodontal disease, necessary tooth extraction, and deep scaling. Regular dental exams and cleanings can help you avoid the costliness of involved dental procedures and can help prevent your pet from unnecessary suffering.
Deworming your pet is an integral aspect of pet care. While nearly 85% of kittens and puppies are born with parasitic infections, most animals develop immunity over time. However, illness and stress can weaken the body's response to fight off these parasites and can awaken any dormant larvae living in your pet.
Even the most responsible pet owner could leave the garage door open or forget to close the gate, resulting in a lost pet. Microchipping your beloved pet could be the difference between having your pet returned and not being able to find them. While it is estimated that nearly 3 million pets in shelters are euthanized annually, some of those animals are pets whose owners were unable to find them.
Nutrition, including controlling your pet's weight, seriously affects pet health, especially as your pet ages. Weight management is one of the most critical factors in maintaining pet health. Started by Vets. Loved by Pets. Giving your pet unlimited access to food (free feeding) is one of the worst things you can do.

Antibiotics set to expire before the regimen completed, so verify the expiry date at the office wrt any medicine supplied. Staff wouldn't take responsibility for the error; totally uncooperative, unethical and rude when the issue was explained. Also, their estimated cost for canine tooth-cleaning was 100% higher than the vet we are now registered with and happily taking our pets to. Recommend Avoid this business. [pls ignore the vacuous excuses/protest the business will no doubt reply with]

I am not a client (yet) but was there when my mom had to put her old, smelly, lumpy, stinky baby boy she loved so much to sleep. All other vets were not available, one told her they had an appt. 2 weeks later.....no an option, especially because he was in pain and immobile. Thats cruel to leave him like that. I told them our situation and they got us in same day, I think within an hour or two after the call. And being new clients on top of that! . Even with the added stress of Covid restrictions they were very kind. I'm extra critical because I worked in a veterinary hospital for 9+ years. They

I took my dog in because he was limping on his back leg. Not only did they get him in and made him feel comfortable going in, they made me feel the same way. They were honest about his visit and what was going on instead of trying to get my to spend more money on sergery. I will be taking all my littles to then for now on. Best vet on the coast. Thanks guys.

Our Bella (dog) fractured her toe the folks at Newport Veterinary Hospital took good care if her. Considering she had 2 x-rays and a splint put on the price wasn't bad. Follow up appointment splint had to be put back on Bella chewed it off. $43 next follow up no charge at all. Very positive experience for us. We would highly recommend using Newport Veterinary Hospital for all you pet needs. Dr. Rita and the girls were great.
