Kincaid's Country Inn
You're going to love it here at Kincaid's Country Inn, one of the favorite restaurants in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Namely, we're here to spoil you with great food. So, think cheese curds, steaks, seafood. In other words, welcome to one of the best places to eat in Rice Lake or Barron County. We're new to this spot but we're no strangers to the area.

After a great stint on Wisconsin's Long Lake, one thing led to another and Country Inn really is an incredible opportunity to meet a whole new clientele, and hopefully see some of our old friends as well. Our Country Inn is located in beautiful Barron County's largest city, Rice Lake and staged in an iconic restaurant, built on a historic location that hungry customers in the Midwestern Northwoods have been visiting for generations.

Ordered a whiskey sour with southern comfort. Got my drink. No whiskey at all. Had 3 other people try it also. Ordered the king cut prime rib. The meat was good and tender. It was however, over 50% pure fat. Paid $31 for maybe 8oz of meat. Ordered first drink at 5pm. Didn't get check from food until 645. Then had to wait half an hour for waitress to grab check and ring me out. Will never go back absolutely worst drink I've ever had, and a prime rib that is mostly fat. Not worth the drive or the overcharged food.

One of the worst meals ever. Thursday night primetime 630 and we are the only folks in the place. Not a good sign but we went in anyways. You could not cut the prime rib, so tough. The stuffed shrimp mushy and the broiled walleye dry. I went with 2 stars as the service was ok. We were the only folks there for dinner the whole time. It is not inexpensive to eat there, we won't be back.

No, just No! Saturday night 6:30 reservations. We already knew their Prime Rib was off, med to well done -bad oven they said when we made our reservations. That's OK , we weren't planning on Prime Rib. Arrived about 6:20, all looked fine, restaurant was far from full.
Seated, drinks ordered/delivered, by 6:45 dinner ordered. . . . . .we`re waiting, and waiting, and waiting... 7:35 waitress comes back....sorry there's no white chicken (hubby ordered Broasted chicken).
Ok we ordered close to an hour ago and you are just telling us now? They hadn't even started our

The food wasn't good overall. Steak was ordered medium rare, over half of it was at least medium. Potatoes were served so hot, I had to wait 20 minutes before eating. The class chowder wasn't clam chowder, didn't taste good and was brown. Lobster was over cooked. Definitely not a $70 meal. I bumped up to a 2 star cause of the good service.

The king prime rib is the best I had in a few years and I've had a lot of prime ribs. Somethings can use work on but no place is perfect. I went for good prime rib and that is absolutely what I have gotten 2 out of 2 times now and going back for more. Great job chef

We have been going here for years, it's one of my favorite places to eat. Even though it has new owners, everything is still the same including the food. Like the owner said, "If it's not broken, don't fix it". How wise he was to not change a thing. The food is always amazing, and waitresses friendly and efficient. If you want to experience old time Wisconsin supper club this is the place.

Extremely slow service which is unusual from when I was there about a year ago.
I mean everything was slow except the kitchen. It was slow to get our menus, slow to take our drink order, slow to get our drinks, slow to take our order, slow to get our bill and for them to process our card...
Felt like we were there 3 hours..once food was ordered soups and salads came quickly..relish tray and food timely. One person in our party had cold food but decided to just take to go rather than wait for it to be reheated...definitely needs more waitresses for dining room!!
Will always go back when in area

My family went to the drive in in Chetek tonight and we were looking for a new restaurant to try. We picked The Country Inn Supper Club and we were all so happy with our service and meal. The filet mignon and prime rib were cooked to perfection, salad fresh and delicious, augratin potatoes piping hot and great flavor. Staff was so attentive to our needs and we left excited in finding a new favorite and will definitely return at another time anxious to try different items.

My husband and I came here with 2 other couples and have enjoyed biking & hiking the Tuscobia trail over the years. We were cold and the hot soup was nice on the usual cramped Wisconsin salad bar.

(We are lifelong Wisconsinites) We know better not to order a low cost steak or non-prime rib, so we ordered ribs and please take a look at what we got. My husband said it would look better with all the sauce but what is there to hide? You can see it may be leftovers from night before or just an old pig?

We did take home a doggy box and when mixing up the ribs with my hands they really felt very

Many times I lament the need for Yelp to allow reviewers to give half stars; this is not one of those times.

Short story - Nice atmosphere, great waitress, alright drinks and not bad food.

Long story - Wanted to try another Wisconsin "classic" supper club. Picked said club and went with three others. Parking lot was full but seating was easy.

Start with a supper club staple - old fashioned. Had two, shortie glasses. One pretty good, the other average. I've had better and I've had worse.

Salad bar - two soups, hot bacon dressing, toast and a varied assortment of vegetables

I would classify this place as a blue collar supper club. With a big neon sign advertising food and liquor, it is situated along a lonesome county highway. You immediately know it must have good qualities to have been in business for so long. It's a quaint chalet style northwoods supper club with aged varnish knotty pine woodwork and a variety of Leinenkugels tappers.

The hostess came in the form of the owner telling us from across the bar that we'd better have a seat because it might be a few minutes. The bartender was prompt and the old fashioneds were tasty. The place was bustling

What a delightful surprise. A great soup(homemade) and salad bar... great steaks and ribs. Homemade blue cheese dressing. What was best of all was the service and our waitress. The owner made sure we were happy and we were well satisfied.
We will return.

We stopped here on our way to Duluth. What a find! My husband had the ribs and I had the prime rib. His ribs fell off the bone and my prime was outstanding. Salad bar was great and they willingly gave us veggies in place of potato.

You will not find a better salad bar and restaurant close to Rice Lake! Homemade soups and warm bacon dressing if you like on your salad. Entrees are plentiful and delicious. Owners always present to make sure your dinner is perfect. A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for!

Went there on a Monday night for dinner.Worst prime rib I ever had! It was gray all the way through and was so cold that the fat was actually congealed.Could not eat it.Baked potato was so cold that the butter would not melt. The salad bar was just-ok.Two others in our party sent there steaks back as they were such poor quality, they were inedible.Do not waste time or money here.

OMG OMG OMG soooooo good!!!! Got shrimp and steak. My friend got slow cooked ribs and shrimp. He said it's the best ribs he's ever had. Both our meals came with a visit to the salad bar. Overall super yummy. We are staying in shell lake for work and honestly- finding good food in the area has been rough. But we now found a place that has effing awesome food!

Great north woods fish fry! With multiple types of fish on special, the Country Inn is a must go to for a delicious meal. I had the bluegill special and my husband had the salmon both were cooked perfectly. One of the best parts though was the salad bar - homemade soups, hot bacon dressing, fresh dinner rolls and a vast salad bar! I could have made a meal in the soup & salad bar alone. Drinks were affordable and generous too! I would have given the Country Inn 5 stars but it's a bit on the pricey side. We'll definitely go back and bring out of town guests though.
