Everyone at Maple Tree Vet Hospital AND Maple Tree Dog Camp have been incredible to our dog, Ruby and our kitty cat, Griffin. Dr. Birthright & vet staff are always helpful, available, professional, caring and knowledgeable. Spring and the dog camp 'counselors' have helped us so much in socializing our highly energetic cattle dog and guiding us in how to bring out the best in her.
I can't thank them enough and we appreciate all their help and loving care of Ruby. The dog camp it's a special place for my dogs! The camp counselors monitor the dogs closely, gently correcting negative behaviors and exuberantly rewarding good behavior. My puppy has especially benefited from the socialization he gets there!

Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital is an animal hospital founded by Dr. Brian Birthright with veterinarians and staff who are committed to practicing the best medicine for the pets of Western North Carolina. Maple Tree has a fully equipped, onsite laboratory with the ability to perform chemistry panels, urinalysis, heartworm tests, fecal exams and feline leukemia and FIV tests.
Our clinic offers a variety of Veterinary, Grooming, and Wellness services for your companions. I am happy that a friend told me about your office. The staff has always been great. They send reminders to you when its time for a office visit, vaccinations.which is a really good thing with our busy lives.
We are offering a unique experience for your dog that will provide stimulation and socialization while teaching basic manners. The Dog Camp is a safe, loving place where dogs will experience enrichment and form bonds with other dogs and Camp Counselors. It will take about an hour to introduce your dog to the camp routine.
The staff members at Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital & Dog Camp are empathetic, thorough, and professional; I am thankful to be among the people whose pets receive care there! I appreciated what Dr. B told us what he was going to do to our pet before he did the procedure. I also liked the call back to see if your pet was ok.
We also offer boarding for cats in our Tree Top Cat Condos which can be seen from the lobby picture below! Cats are away from all of the noise of the Dog Camp and looking out into the trees from our second-floor cat condos. In addition to being well taken care of by our boarding staff, the condos are located next to our team break room so your kitties will enjoy getting visited by our team members throughout the day.

New to the area and needed an appt for our dog Max. Downloaded the app per their website and requested an appt for a sick visit. I was not expecting a next day appt or even a two or three day out appt as I have done management and technical work in veterinary medicine for the last 13 years in busy multiple doctor AAHA accredited multi speciality practices in Tampa and this time I needed a place to take my pet in a new area. However to have to wait almost 2 weeks is flat out ridiculous . We would never let our patients wait that long because we would always block off several timeslots, days prior

We use both the vet hospital and the dog camp, and we couldn’t be happier with the staff and the service. Our vet (Dr. Justice) is wonderful, and the dog camp is our pup’s favorite place. It’s such a great experience for a dog; great for socialization, manners. Highest recommendation!

Could not imagine a more wonderful and caring staff at Maple Tree Dog Camp and vet. Spring, Nicole, Amber, and the rest of the staff are wonderful with all of the dogs and take time to make everyone feel special. They helped our senior dog have some of the best experiences of her life and under their care extended our time with her. With our new puppy Maple Tree has helped her blossom into a sociable young dog. We are forever grateful for their time and energy and wouldn’t trust our pups with anyone else.

Maple Tree was the only vet in town that worked with us to get our sick kitty in for a consult ASAP. We are so grateful! As soon as we arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. Our cat was very comfortable throughout the visit. The veterinarian devoted plenty of time to care for our cat and explained everything that was going on, and her rationale for recommended procedures, in detail. We are very pleased with the care and attention that our cat received and we will entrust our future veterinary needs to Maple Tree.

Maple Tree saved our pet's life by providing an affordable treatment for feline urinary blockage. It was one-tenth the cost of what we were quoted by another major vet in town and was far less invasive, with easier recovery. We are so grateful for the high quality/high value service! We had heard that Dr. McKinnon was an expert with cats and now we believe it!
