My style of wedding photography is photojournalistic. While capturing formal portraits are important, I also believe the ambiance of your day & the life-force of your invited guests is of equal priority. With a gentle eye, I will steer your formal photographs to best reflect your personalities, while simultaneously documenting those subtle yet profound candid moments that make up such an important day.

Let's be real, having your wedding photos taken is awkward AF. Combine that stress with wanting to find a photographer who "gets" you and your vision. Gina delivered on all accounts and then some!! Before the wedding, Gina was professional, communicative and offered wonderful suggestions for scheduling. She frontloaded the formal portraits so we had more time to enjoy ourselves and our guests during the event. She immediately made us feel at ease and it showed in how natural our portraits looked. After we received our photos I couldn't stop staring at them! The colors, the faces

Gina is so talented, so kind and so GOOD, we can't imagine our wedding without her. Her photos are flattering without being overproduced, realist without being flat or boring -- They were candid, beautiful, surprising, beyond our expectations! They were perfect!

My partner and I will never be able to properly repay Gina for capturing our engagement and wedding in the way that she did. Her understanding and insight made coordination incredibly easy. Her personality and approach put us immediately at ease. This, coupled with her artistic instinct, produced incredibly natural photos that captured the energy of each moment.

When we started looking for a wedding photographer, we were drawn to the photojournalistic style. We wanted beautiful photos, but ones that captured and reflected our day rather than just hitting all the traditional marks. My fiance found a write up of Gina's work on A Practical Wedding and when we looked at her website and sample galleries we agreed that she had that exact style that we were looking for. When we looked at her pricing we worried that it was too good to be true. We contacted her about possibly coming to the East Coast for our Summer Camp wedding and lucked out that she was

I can't recommend Gina enough!
While planning our wedding in Panama City, FL, in September 2018, my husband and I sat down to identify a few major priorities for the event, and we immediately knew that photography was going to be near the top of the list. Friends had warned us that the actual wedding was going to fly by (and trust me, they were right!), so we wanted to find someone who would accurately and artfully capture the feeling of the day--even down to the little details. Gina's name came up almost immediately. She had beautifully photographed another wedding in our friend group

Gina will be our photographer for our upcoming fall wedding and we just had our engagement session with Gina a few weeks ago. She is incredible. I was drawn to her website and trusted my instinct that she was special and someone I wanted to help tell my love story. We took pictures at our apartment, the Fairfax Farmer's Market and LACMA. She seamlessly orchestrated all 3 spots to capture a relaxed, genuine, but emotional engagement photo shoot. Her presence was calming and professional. She lets things unfold naturally, but gives guidance and direction when needed. I'm in awe of how many

Before I had a date or a venue, Gina Clyne Photography was the first vendor that I contacted - and I am so happy that I did.
I can't say enough good things about Gina. We were so happy to have her as a part of our wedding. She had a shot list of portraits to work though, but after that is where she really shines. The main thing I was looking for in a photographer was someone who could shoot photojournalism style, and Gina delivered. She was always right there, but never in the way. If you are at all interested in hiring Gina for your photographer needs - seriously, just do it. I found Gina on A Practical Wedding's vendor directory and I'm so so glad I found her. First of all, her prices are literally unbeatable, not even for a major city, just overall, unbeatable. And not only is she incredibly affordable, but she also makes a microloan through Kiva to a woman owned business, which is pretty awesome.

Gina's talents span beyond her camera work, she is truly a master of her craft. Gina came with us as a 'third wheel' as we eloped at San Francisco City Hall. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Gina made us feel so comfortable, coached us through the camera shy moments, and was able to photograph something truly magical.
The pictures we have from the day perfectly capture the moments we shared. From candid shots walking and laughing together, to the most sincere posed pictures, and all the documentation in between... I feel as if I could relive the moment through the story

Gina is an amazing photographer - her intuitive nature and awareness makes working with her on such an important occasion not only smooth, but enjoyable. She was always professional and during the event was so unobtrusive that I do not remember ever seeing her during the ceremony, which is important to me as photographers who do not have this skill can be very distracting.
We were so happy with images from the wedding that we have hired her for our second wedding celebration taking place in Jamaica in the fall. We can not recommend her highly enough, Gina is fantastic!

I think I found Gina through Craigslist when I was looking for photographers for our engagement photos. I looked at her portfolio and was just blown away.
That was about 2.5 years ago. So far she's done our engagement photos, our wedding photos and is going to be doing some photography for my business.
Her work is always stellar, she is always professional and is just an absolute delight to work with. Hire her and don't look back. You will never be sorry.
Thank you, Gina, for sharing your talent with the world!

We found Gina through A Practical Wedding. At first glance, it was the exact style of photographer I had been looking for. Then I saw her rates, and I thought it must be too good to be true, but she truly delivered above and beyond.
Even though we live in San Francisco, the wedding was held in San Juan Capistrano, so I was not able to meet with her in person until the day of the wedding, but she was so great with communicating via email and on the phone before the wedding, that it felt like we had built a great relationship before we even came face to face.
Not only did the photographs turn out

We found Gina through A Practical Wedding as a recommendation for an affordable photographer. It was true - her rates were potentially half of other photographers we spoke to. But cheating out wasn't our only objective - knowing that we weren't going to have a videographer, it was very important we found a photographer who was going to truly document the entire day top to bottom and that is exactly what Gina and her assistant, Shane did.
We first met Gina at a coffee shop to talk about our thoughts for our wedding. At this point we had met with 5 other photographers at the same coffee

My now husband, Jordan, at the time thought I was crazy when I started looking for photographers about 1 year away from our wedding. Jordan and I aren't really into the "staged" engagement shoot photos nor the "glamour" shots that sometimes we see. To each and their own, they're just not us.
Our choice photos are usually of our animals, nature, summiting mountains, and our travels.
It was really hard to find a photographer that matched our personalities, style, and budget. I found Gina originally on http://www.wpja.com/ looking for somebody to capture our wedding

Gina is AMAZING. From the moment we found Gina's website, we were pretty sure we'd stumbled upon someone fantastic. And when we had our first introductory meeting with her, we knew we had.
We threw an untraditional wedding: a Prom at a local high school. Some of the vendors we spoke with seemed a bit confused why someone would want to do something like that. Others seemed baffled by the seemingly circular logic of the idea: "Don't most proms these days try to imitate weddings?" But from the moment we told her, Gina *got* it. Truly. And even more importantly, got us.

Gina was such a pleasure to work with! This review is long overdue but extremely appreciative and full of nothing but gratitude. I found Gina on the Wedding Photojounalist Association (WPJA) website. I simply clicked on her name and website because her starting price was in my budget. THEN -- I fell in love with her images, her captures and her "eye". She captured details of each ceremony, reception, party and gathering in such a unique way and almost the exact way that I envisioned.
I, of course, contacted several other photographers but it was her response time and personality

Gina's work, photographing the first annual YALLWEST Festival in Santa Monica, was outstanding. She captured every aspect of a three day book event. Her beautiful photos defined the tone of the festival and provided proof of success to media outlets, sponsors, and the public. Gina worked tirelessly to deliver on a tight deadline, providing quality images ahead of an aggressive due date. Her photos got immediate coverage on book blogs and within the publishing industry. We could not have been happier with the work and the response it got.

Gina did an AMAZING job as our photographer for our wedding in Santa Barbara on Aug 30, 2014.
We couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. How she handled the day was professional, easy-going, and friendly (just what we wanted). The sneak-peek video she created was a completely awesome surprise for us all to see. The wedding photography package she sent us was so thoughtfully put together. The overall quality of her work was outstanding!

It takes a skilled eye and a little something extra to be able to capture memories with a lens. Gina Clyne has that and more.
My wife and I hired her to take some family portraits and candid shots of an event we recently hosted. She was very patient with all of us, especially our dog, and she was able to capture the positivity that was in the air that evening.
Ms. Clyne is a professional. She made us feel relaxed and knows how to perfectly break the photographic ice. Camera shyness is quite common but she tries her best to break down that guard. She is more than happy to listen to your ideas
