Master Yosvany Taekwondo Academy strives to improve the positive mental attitude of each student. We strive to help our students achieve "knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart and strength in the body". All Classes are family-friendly and value participation by students of all ages. Children's classes are fun.
Our curriculum will provide you with the basic, intermediate and advanced skills necessary to master every rank from White belt to Black belt. Every student that joins MYTA will learn "Poomse" (forms) that will develop their coordination, power, and balance. Students will learn all of the basic, intermediate and advanced concepts of wrist locks, joint locks, trapping techniques, falls, rolls, shoulder and hip throws.
Is used as a way to develop coordination, stamina, confidence and mental toughness. The rules, which are governed by World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) require the practitioner to wear certain sparring gear. A chest protector wraps around your chest and sides and fastens or ties shut in back, offering some protection against blows to the chest and side.
I strive everyday to become a leader in Taekwondo, to learn the best teaching skills to help every student that becomes a part of our school, physically and mentally. To go as far as I can go and become a great instructor and role model. After many months of searching I found the perfect school for me with a dedicated master in Taekwondo, Master Yosvany Taekwondo Academy.
It is hard to find the words that describe the admiration my family has for Master Yosvany Perez and the benefits his classes brought to our family. After a great recommendation from my friend, we decided to give it a try. We found out the classes offered were a variety of activities that could easily fit in our family's tight schedule.

I've enrolled my child since May of 2021 during Covid. I love how the program works around the pandemic. I have seen my child grow out of his shell since he has been enrolled. Program is sure helping him grow outside mentally and helps him with life skills, I love that most of the staff knows Spanish and English. I also respect that they care for feedback and strive to improve. I love the location and the schedules are super flexible.

My daughter has been studying Taekwondo under Master Yosvany since she was 5yrs old. She has learned not only Taekwondo but life lessons, discipline, dedication, hard work but most of all respect. He instills values and how to compete. If your looking for a taekwondo school this is one of the best... if your looking to compete MYT is the best!

If you are looking for a place that is warm welcoming, fun, and heartfelt where your children can learn not only Taekwondo, but confidence, hard work, how to be dedicated, and never give up, THIS IS THE PLACE!! If you want you child to do the basic classes or to do competition level training I highly recommend this academy.
The Master of the school understands the physical aspects of being an athlete but more importantly, he understands the mental strength that is needed that he gives the kids and he even goes deeper into wanting to help the kids just be good people.

Had the misfortune of coming across the MYT elite team. The most disrespectful youths I've seen. I was traveling through DIA and saw them in their team uniforms completely being rude deplorable while their "teacher" just sat there. If you are going to sport your uniforms at least learn how to act right, because that only shows how undisciplined the whole academy is. What kind of "elite" team is this? If you want your child to learn respect, discipline, and honor...you should find another dojang.

Our family has had the honor of participating in a variety of activities at MYTA since 2010. In this martial arts academy we were able to find the most impeccable ethics so important for the integral education of our children. Discipline, perseverance, responsibility, teamwork and respect have been the fundamental principles that have given prestige to this institution and its instructors since its foundation.

I have been taking my son to Master Yosavani’s Academy for about 2 years. My son loves it. and the instructors are phenomenal. He has increased focus, discipline, and sense of accomplishment. All of which we were hoping for when we signed him up.

If you are considering enrolling your child, READ THIS FIRST: We took our son to master Yosvany’s Tae Kwon Do class for one week. The classes were great for our son, however we were very disappointed in how a personal issue was handled. Or rather not handled. While we observed our son’s class, one of the other fathers saw this as an opportunity to take pictures of me and some of the other women with his phone without any of us knowing. My husband could see his phone screen and could see him continue to take multiple pictures. He told me what was happening and we gave him the benefit of the

MYT is one of the best Taekwondo institute. I used to send my kids there but unfortunately we moved to a new place. We tried several other Taekwondo institutes but my kids did not like their coach and the training provided by them. Master Yosvany has been the best Taekwondo coach so far for my kids. He did not teach Taekwondo only, he has also trained my kids to be discipline and live with integrity. Good luck to MYT. 👍🏻
