Dr. Phillips is originally from Springfield, PA. Dr. John spent his summers on Stoneton farm outside Betterton, MD, then Grove Neck where he currently lives with his wife and son. Dr. John attended West Chester University and graduated from Penn State University and Temple School of Dentistry. Prior to Dental School, Dr. John was a yacht captain and delivery captain.
He was civilian crew aboard the USS Sequoia and crew on the Yacht, Bolero. He also served briefly in the Merchant Marine. Sheryl graduated in 1989 from the Community College of Baltimore. She has been practicing Dental Hygiene for 23 years in general practice with 16 years of experience providing care for Pediatric & Special needs patients.

Dockside Dental is the Dentist you need to go to if you are afraid there may be pain. My husband was terrified of going to the Dentist. He happened upon Dr. JOHN and hasn't missed an appointment yet, and willingly makes his future appointments. He has also followed him even when he changed offices. Staff is also amazing.

Dr. John is the BEST dentist in the county😊Maybe in the State. He's more than just a dentist, he's a family friend. He is very caring & takes a personal interest in his patients. I've been going to him for at least 20 years & others in my family go to him as well. I even followed him to Ches. City. His wife Lynette & all the staff are absolutely awesome. My hygienist is also terrific. Everyone is always friendly & very kind. Never had a complaint. We won't allow him to retire😊
