Once again find myself in the dental chair preparing for some new work after an old root canal went bad on me. On the plus side, I got to catch up with Dr. Thurm and Michelle, his amazing long time assistant. Dr. Thurm’s practice is living proof that you can run an efficient, professional practice and still make patients feel like they’re visiting with old friends who care about them.

I had a great experience seeing Dr. Shah today. Both Dr. Shah and Maria (my dental hygienist) were both really lovely and easy going. I don't have severe anxiety when I go to the dentist but it's generally not an experience I enjoy. I have to say my visit today was the best, most stress free, dental visit I've ever had. I'm really glad I found Dr. Shah and will definitely be back to see him again!

After my heart transplant, I developed a series of neck and jaw problems, and had a lot of trouble with traditional dentists. Ever since coming here, I've had amazing experiences, and learned that I could walk out of a dental procedure in a good mood. They do a fantastic job, and they are always good to everyone who walks in the door. I cannot endorse them highly enough.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Thurm for many years. He and his staff are all very friendly and professional. The dental hygienist is so gentle, as is Dr. Thurm when we need any work done. He has never pushed any unnecessary dental work on us, either, which I have experienced with other dentists in the past. I highly recommend this office.

I just left this dental office and this experience was one of the reasons why I haven't been to the dentist in so long. I repeatedly told them about my level of anxiety and fear. I felt belittled and treated like a child. The X-ray lady kept telling me she won't argue and fight with me as if that's why I came here. I'm SO disappointed at this experience. No one would talk to me to try and calm me down. I'm in total disbelief. He said he'd give me a referral somewhere else, no thanks.

THE best dentist in the area! I have been going to the Thurm Dental Group since my children were in grade school - they now have children of their own. The entire staff is terrific ( a special shout-out to Lisa!). I have had a lot of dental work done and have never experienced ANY discomfort or pain. Was always anxious about going to the dentist prior to my first visit to Thurm Dental. No more anxiety - they are the BEST!!

I am new to the area. I called this office looking to set up an appointment for a general cleaning. When I told them I was new to the area thinking that would make them want to earn my business, she quickly told me I would need two appointments to get a cleaning. When I told her about my busy work schedule she was not accommodating and said I would also only be able to get an appointment between 10 AM and 2 PM. They must be doing pretty well because when I told her I would have to call around for another place that is more accommodating she replied with OK no problem. She was generally rude the

I have been seeing Dr Thurm and his lovely team for 15+ years. Even after many moves through many states, I still travel from Virginia to see him twice yearly.

My dentist. A skilled, experienced dental surgeon who was doing sleep dentistry (licensed dental anesthesiologist) and helping dental phobic patients while those radio dentists were still in school. Thurm dental is very receptive to my gag reflex. I had put off going to a dentist because of it before I was introduced to Dr. Thurm. I had extensive work done, and I was put to sleep and over the course of 3 visits, my immediate dental problems were resolved. Carol, my hygienist, is also very receptive to my needs during my twice a year teeth cleaning. I have been going to Dr. Thurm since 2012.

I wish I would have known about sleep dentistry years ago! If your dental phobia is real, Thurm dental can help. The only drawback is the cost, but, for me, it was worth every penny. I had more two procedures done, woke up and went about my day with no pain, numbness from Novocain or tears. The whole experience exceeded my expectations.

I love Thurm Dental Group Denistry. I had some bad experiences with dentists when I was young and developed anxiety with needles. But when I came here I loved it and have been going for over 10years. Everyone here is so nice and caring. They do an excellent job and take good care of my teeth! Definitely recommend them!
