I am writing this as we begin the brand-new year of 2021. It is certainly a good time to reflect on the blessings and plain-old good luck to have spent over 40 years practicing dentistry in Tucson. Moving here after graduating from the University of Washington in 1980, I never expected to be in a community or a profession that would provide me with so much fulfillment.
The time to seek help is if you have pain or your jaw gets stuck either when you open or close. It is more obvious when the pain is in the jaw area or it hurts when you chew. TMD pain can also feel like back or neck pain, a toothache, or shoulder pain. Many times, patients may already be in treatment with another therapist for the neck issues that they have been having.

A five-star experience, all the way. Where should I begin? From the moment I step through the doorway, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and wow, my presence is acknowledged! The reception area and patient rooms are sanitized. Crystal and Amanda greet me with sincerity, and they are alert and know what's going on without the me even saying a word! They treat each patient with respect; they understand terminology, details, insurance, procedures and are responsive. They are so on top of everything. My dental assistants (I love Becky!!) are caring, knowledgeable and professional, all the way.

Highly recommend Dr McGonigle! She is experienced and knowledgeable. A very common sense approach to dental care. Very good at explaining all the options and costs when there are decisions to be made. When you are with her, it’s very apparent that she takes extreme pride in providing the absolute best dental care possible. Great staff too!

My excellent dentist retired and I had since been seeing someone who was apparently not so good and overlooked something that turned into a major issue. My dad goes to Dr McGonigle. She got me in right away and found a dentist in my area that had gone to the same additional schooling that she had. Talk about going above and beyond! I ended up having to have surgery. The Wisconsin dentist she connected me with was wonderful. I am forever grateful to her for taking such good care of me! A good dentist makes going regularly less scary and can add years to our good health!

Dr. McGonigle & her team are extremely personable, caring, & professional! They are so thorough & have the latest technology to ensure your confidence to get the job done right! I moved to Tucson last Fall. In February, a crown (from another dentist) broke while I was traveling oversees. I was able to get an appointment right away after my return. Then COVID-19 hit!! Dr. McGonigle's team worked with me to replace the temporary even though extreme restrictions were in place. Trust me when I say I am so blessed to find a dental office so caring that you feel right at home!

I've been seeing dentists regularly now for over 50 years in the different places I have lived and without a doubt Carol and her team are by far the best and most skilled I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'm glad I'm planning on staying where I am and that I'll be relying on them for the excellent dental care I've lucky enough to receive so far!

Dr McGonigle is honest, efficient, and highly skilled. I trust her completely. She has a very caring way, and was willing to work with my daughter with a cognitive disability when no other dentist would do so. She also has been very patient with my 92-year-old mother and tries to help Mom keep costs down when repairing her dentures. Dr. McGonigle's prices are not the lowest around, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend!

I recently moved back to Tucson and needed a new dentist. I found great reviews of Dr. McGonigle on Angie's List so decided to give her a try. From start to finish it was a great experience. The receptionist was very friendly and I didn't have to wait long to get in the chair. I was there for a checkup and cleaning. The hygienist gave me the most thorough cleaning I think I've ever had and Dr. M's checkup was also extremely thorough. Everyone was incredibly nice and professional.
