Our simple logo was designed to help students remember the five tenets (values) of Tae Kwon Do. Each claw on the bear footprint represents one of the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do. Students are encouraged to implement these values in their everyday lives. Mr. Hoglund enjoyed being a competitive high school wrestler, coached by a Hall of Fame coach.
In 2010, a new global trend started to take over the Western world, a form of self-defense designed by the Israelis called Krav Maga. Back then, there were already 500 U.S. law-enforcement agencies using Krav Maga training including the FBI. This challenging yet thrilling exercise regime has now become a national trend, with more and more men and women finding out how beneficial it is.
There are many different styles of Martial Arts to study. Each style is a bit different and has a distinct area of origin. There's the hard style such as Muay Thai (Thailand) or Western Boxing, a semi-hard style such as Tae Kwon Do or Hapkido (Korea), a soft style traditional art, such as Aikido (Japan) or one of the many Kung Fu styles (China), or a ground fighting art, such as Jiu Jitsu (Brazil/Japan) and Western Martial Arts (Europe).

Me and my 3 kids had the privilege of being trained my Master Hoglund and his skilled team at Bearfoot karate for 4 yrs but unfortunately we moved quite far away and had to say goodbye but I felt that the least I could do is let the online community know that if you are in the Spring lake Park community or near by he's worth it.

My son has been going to Bearfoot Karate for 9 months now. He is always so excited to go to class and be with the instructors. They are very nice and care a lot about every child in their class. It has helped my son grow and learn throughout the months and I have seen a big improvement in his attitude, self - confidence, and being helpful at home. He also loves to help out other student so working with others in the class is wonderful. Thank you Bearfoot Karate for everything you to for our kids.
