Hi, I'm Cami of Camilla Calnan Photography, a full service photography studio based out of Asheville, North Carolina. Weddings, portraits, commercial, product, and adventure/nature photos fill my days and edit queues in the studio. We create albums, wall art, and custom prints in-house through our professional printing partners.
Capturing the love is my goal. After all these years, the magic of photography never ceases to amaze me. I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember and honestly cannot imagine doing anything else with my life. When I was 4, my dad let me take the camera and I never really gave it back, then the darkroom hooked me in high school and college.

We met Camilla yesterday and she took our maternity photos. Without even seeing the photos, I already know how amazing they will be. Camilla went above and beyond, even climbing down some rocks to take some photos of us in the river. She is so easy to work with and so kind and you can tell she really loves what she does.

Camilla was the photographer at my sister's wedding and y'all, she was exceptional! She was organized and efficient in all the staged/group photos. She kept the kids laughing and engaged and looking at the camera. She was completely invisible during the ceremony, managing to get ALL the best shots while not distracting from the action at all. She was kind, she was friendly, she was professional. And oh my, the photos!! I had the hardest time narrowing down which prints to order, and it wasn't even my wedding!! We should all be so lucky as to have Camilla photograph our special events.

I first met Cami 8+ years ago when she took candid portraits of me. She is the go-to photographer in WNC for portraits, weddings and events. She is beyond talented, extremely personable, and has an eye for both the big picture and small details. She knows all of the best locations for your photoshoot. Above all, she is really passionate and cares.

My husband and I were lucky enough to find Cami online and were able to book her to take our portraits while we were on our honeymoon last month in the Great Smoky Mountains! We can’t say enough about how talented, artistic and sweet she is! We were beyond blessed to have her help us capture such a special time in our lives. She was a joy to work with. She made us feel so comfortable and we got our pictures back quickly! I was brought to tears immediately as I started looking through the gallery of images she provided us. Cami was our wedding photographer, and we had a great experience with her. She was able to help us last minute when our previous photographer had us double-booked and dropped us. So glad that happened because Cami's work method and style are so much more our speed. You can tell she absolutely loves her job. You can also tell how much she truly cares about her clients. She pays so much attention to every detail to make sure you're happy with not only the photos, but also the whole experience. I'm someone who doesn't generally like posing for pictures, and I feel like I barely did. No one could tell

I have been lucky to shoot with Cami on two occasions - one commercial photoshoot with about 10 babies and toddlers, and one personal photoshoot with my family. I am also a huge fan of her nature and outdoor photography. She is incredibly talented, with a discerning eye and an overall calming presence. She never misses a moment and the results are fantastic! I absolutely recommend her.
