Dave Scott is the descendant of pioneer families in the Redding area, with both his father and mother's families having settled here in 1852. His photo above is in front of the Historic Diestelhorst Bridge, named after his great, great grandfather, Gottlieb Diestelhorst, who acquired land along the Sacramento River in 1859.
