My wife and I brought 2 friends to Bottagra last week. Have avoided this place for months due to a previous bad experience there. So we decided to give the place a chance to redeem itself.This was our 5th time there and the first time for our friends. Well I made a mistake bringing them here. We all had a very bad experience here. The servers are mostly 21 to 25 tears old. I have no problem with that, if you are serious about what you are doing. Problem is these kids have no clue. This is my first time ever leaving a review for a restaurant, I felt it was necessary being how blown away I was with my experience at Bottagra. A coworker of my husband recommended going here for their New Years Eve party and I can’t tell you how much we throughly enjoyed ourselves! Food was good but pricey. They do not accommodate food allergies so we will not go again. We were told that everything is fried in the same oil. Chicken, vegetables, shellfish, etc. We had a shellfish allergy at the table and this was the only restaurant that was not willing to cook chicken in its own oil. Over the years at other establishments sometimes the chef has come out to ask specific questions and assure us that precautions were being taken. Amore in Woodland Park is excellent for food allergies, and more reasonably priced. Quality and portion size are comparable.

Horrible start to the night. Bottagra calls their guests to confirm reservations and wether you will be sitting inside or outside in their tent. I specifically said "absolutely inside". The woman on the phone said "but we have heaters and live entertainment outside". I said no thanks "we like being indoors." Fast-forward to the hostess stand. "Right this way" to the tent. It pains me to write this because we LOVE the aesthetics of the restaurant. Their brunch parties are outstandingly fun, but I’m writing this about the food at the restaurant. While it was VERY photogenic, it came out bland. The chicken parm was nothing exciting. My girlfriends clam dish was reported to be average at best, but the oysters were good! Everything cooked came out lukewarm, with the cheese on my chicken parm almost totally congealed. Thoroughly enjoyed many meals here through the years. Last time I came in l, I ordered the Sicilian ribeye which was unreal- in a caper sauce with a side of Mac and cheese?! Another exemplary dish, is the spinach malfotti appetizer; cheese and spinach balls in a vodka-like sauce. Service is always on par.

We went to Bottagra last night and truly enjoyed the whole dining experience. When you approach the entrance, you see a grand white tent for outdoor seating; the inside has lovely white curtains, lights carpeting and a dj playing all the right music. We had indoor reservations, but the out door dining area is a nice option as well. We were a party of 4 and were seated promptly. My wife and I have been to Bottagra many times. The quality has been decreasing over the last few months. We ordered the Mahi crusted in pecans and the Veal Milansea. The mahi had ZERO taste and there was no salt pepper or lemon to give it some. Waiter was MIA! The veal Milanese tasted very stale like it was cooked many days ago. This restaurant seems to be concentrating on big parties and has lost interest in the two to four person crowd. My wife and I will never be coming back to Bottagra!

Attended a private party and, it was a real treat. Our party had a mix of gluten free people and vegans and vegetarians as well as meat eaters. The hostess was very attentive and there was delicious food for everyone. We wanted to keep the party going after our time in the private room was up, so we just migrated over to the bar area where we could enjoy the rest of the night. I really enjoyed it.

After the COVID shutdown, I really missed going out and experiencing live music again. I was pleasantly surprised by the Great food and great music on Tues and Saturday nights! Drew Szucs is a talented singer with a wide variety of songs from show tunes to classic rock. Had a great time and will keep coming back.

We had a reservation for a group of 8 at Bottagra last night. The restaurant and outdoor seating patio was very elegantly decorated. Music and lighting created a chill ambiance. The staff was friendly and provided us with excellent table service. We shared appetizers like fried octopus, fried calamari, squash blossoms and arancini. For dinner, I ordered the short ribs. The best part of the evening for me was the Lychee Martini!!
Bottagra is a beautiful restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The service was excellent but the food was quite mediocre. I expected more based on the Yelp reviews

This place was awesome! Definitely need to eat outside because it is a completely different vibe than inside. Food was very good!!! The appetizers were super good and service was so nice. The Tito's Moscow Mule was super good to drink! There was a singer and DJ outside that got everyone up on their feet dancing. It was such a fun and energetic vibe in the tent. Overall it was such a great experience and I can't wait to eat here again!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Avoid this place. Let's just start with the $120.00 bottle of wine. No prices for bottles of wine and this is how they make money. My Capellini Di Mare was over cooked, scallops dry like rubber balls. I get better mussels at my local shoprite and the clams forget about it. Discussed. It took a ridiculous amount of time for someone to step up and say "hello" which also accompanied an apology for the wait. He "Was unclear what section of the restaurant he was serving!!" Singer/DJ was very loud, requiring raised voices for conversation. Companions considered leaving. Difficult to converse; compromised the evening. Can't imagine what management was thinking.

Chicken piccata dry. Mashed potatoes creamy and good; veggies fresh. Salmon a bit too dry. Average quality of fish and poultry.
Friend had strip steak; was tender and nicely cooked.
Watermelon martini was syrupy sweet and more importantly had very little alcohol. Definite pass. Stick with a nice dry Chardonnay or nice Cabernet

I usually like this place and they do a great job with the outdoor dining and music the many times I have been there. When I got the check today I was greeted with a disturbing surprise. There was a line item charge on the check for what was called a "Non-Cash Adjustment." (It was 3.95% of the entire subtotal.)
On the bottom of the check they have a disclaimer that says Bottagra has a 3.95% cash adjustment discount built into all pricing.

Having driven by this place many times I have never thought to stop in and dine here. The outside is not the most appealing to the eyes because the restaurant is smack dab in the middle of an industrial zone. You have a huge Koehler distribution plant next door. A couple of old automotive garages or junk yards next door and an old shopping center across the street. The restaurant is located on a busy main road that goes from one town to the next.
