Jioio's Restaurant
Jioio's Restaurant is a casual, family-friendly restaurant specializing in Italian Cuisine. We have been a fixture in the Latrobe area for generations. Our pizza is famous for it's thin, pastry-style crust and sweet sauce. The locals just call us Jioio's Pizza, but we offer so much more than that!

Highlighting our menu are traditional favorite Italian classics like Ravioli, Lasagna, Veal, Chicken, Zucchini and Eggplant Parmesan and Angel Hair, all with Mrs. Jioio's tomato sauce. Our employees pride themselves in providing outstanding food in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere at fair prices.

Very good food. Comfortable atmosphere. I had a hot Italian hoagie. My wife had the Lasagna, both were excellent.

I haven’t been here in years, it was really like the first time, and it was good…
After many years, I had the opportunity today to eat here. My wife and I shared their stuffed breadsticks, had their house salad, and choose the same dinner - a meatball late covered in cheese and all goodness. Service was too-notch, and took care of us tirelessly.
My only complaint was the sauce - it was sweeter than I had had in recent and long memory. Not inedible, just sweeter than I prefer.
Otherwise, it’s a solid little place for some home-cooked Italian.

I celebrated my 60th birthday at Jioio's on Thursday with my son. Dinner was delicious and I grabbed a pizza to take home and enjoy the next day. I know they are shorthanded, like a lot of businesses, but our server was wonderful. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. One of my favorite restaurants!!!!!

An hour and a half for a pizza...what??? That's no way to take care of your dine-in customers. The food we did get instead was still good, but doubt if we will ever pick this place to dine in! Too bad...

Service was on point this evening. Glad to see they have the dining room back open. Always brings back family memories. Food was very very good, pizza was perfect. The fried apps cooked fully and the ravioli in their red sauce is fantastic.

My daughter ordered a 4 cut pierogi pizza for supper on 8/1/21 that she loves and it is always good but today it tasted like it had a strange chemical aftertaste. She called the restaurant back but nobody answered the phone so she ran it back up (there were also other items ordered that were fine). She took the pizza with her and told a clerk about it and then she went and got the owner/manager who was not accommodating or apologetic at all. The only offer was another pizza but the rude lady explained that it would probably taste the same and that they had sold many of them today and my daughter

The pizza was well baked, but entirely too sweet for my family's preference. The crust is nice and crispy, but know that it is extremely sweet. The red sauce is also very sweet. We probably should have read a few more reviews before ordering to prep us for the onslaught of sugar.

My son worked here and quit after two days because the kitchen was so filthy- and I mean filthy! They are rude as well and the food is not that of Joio's in Carbon- read my review for them!

The pizza is hit or miss. It depends who is cooking it for the day. If you are familiar with Jioio's in Greensburg then you will definitely be disappointed here. Latrobe location has less than satisfactory food. I ordered a chicken salad. The chicken was so tough. If you want good Jioios I'd drIve to the Greensburg location which has an excellent menu.

Dirty, dingy, disgusting, furniture falling to pieces. Took forever to get the food, horrible service, and I didn't even get to decide what I wanted to tip them after such a horrible experience, they decided what they wanted to tIp themselves and added it on. Then they blamed it on not knowing how to use the new equipment that printed out the bills. This my 1st time here, and most definitely my last time to visit. What a huge disappointment, and I paid a lot of money, including the extra you decided to give yourself on the tip, for such a disgusting experience. I can only hope you use that

Jioio's is a hometown legend . I was hesitant to go due to their reputation of being unfriendly and unclean. I was therefore surprised to have a very friendly server and good service. The food is good; I was impressed with the quality of the fried zucchini which had a delectable crunch to its breading. The sauce is, to me, sickening sweet, but that's the way the house has made it for eons, and so it is to be expected. The pizza was hot and tasty, with a pie style crust. I found the angel hair a tad mushier than what I like, but the chicken parm did not lack for cheese!

I have been a patron for 35 years and loved the pizza. The service the past few times was very poor. We waited an hour and half for pizza and had to leave before being served. They do take out orders first. Last take out order of party pizza was dry, very little pepperoni or roasted red peppers and size smaller than usual. I won't recommend again.

We parked on the wrong side unknowingly. When you walk in that door you walk into a heavy metal door unmarked. I thought we were going in the wrong place at first. The zucchini was good but greasy. We needed to pat the grease off. The sauce was really sweet. The pretzels were soggy on the bottom. The mashed potatoes tasted instant. The stuffed shells were swimming in sauce. The shells could have been slightly more cooked. The filling was good. Their restrooms are tiny. I would not go back.

This pizza is a combo of a sweet pastry crust and sweet sauce all in one, completely different than anywhere else.

I tried a side of spaghetti, I prefer homemade and a sauce that has some spices, I found it to be sweet with little spice and a simple "out of the box" spaghetti, however it was priced accordingly at $2.95 for a side.

Also tried the mozzarella sticks, if you like tasty or spice, this is not the selection for you. They tasted more like provolone than mozzarella and lacked Italian herbs served with a sweet sauce and were pricy.

Jioio's pizza is definitely a hidden gem in Western Pennsylvania in Latrobe. In my opinion, it is one of the most underrated pizza places. From the first bite I ever had of Jioio's to now, it's remained consistently one of my favorites. The quality is always consistent and always superior. The crust and sauce are both sweet, which is unlike any other pizza I've ever had. My favorite toppings to get on Jioio's pizza is pepperoni and sausage. The combination complements the sweet sauce and crust perfectly. Pictures and reviews of their pizza definitely do not do it justice

Jioio's is a great, family-friendly restaurant. If you're hoping for a traditional cheese pizza, this is not the place to go, but they have the most unique pizza I have ever had. It is baked on a flaky, buttery, dessert-type dough. Trust me, you just have to try it! Their cheese pizza is sweet, and their pierogi pizza is savory! All of my friends who live in the area rave about this place and I agree that it is a great place, with great food, run by great owners! Our family is rarely in Latrobe, so we get boxes to bring home and freeze and reheat and the pizza is still delicious!

Well, my brother-in-law is the foremost spokesman for Jioio's. He went in with the disclaimer that I would eithet love or hate this pizza. I actually fall in the middle. As far as different pizza goes, this place is far from cookie-cutter. The sauce is very sweet. I honestly was luke warm about the sauce. The crust was top notch. Crispy and flaky in a really good way. So maybe Im someone that actually falls in the middle of love and hate of this pizza.

I always enjoy the pizza here. It's sweet pizza and I've never had anything like it.

However, this place needs an update as the decor looks like is from 40 years ago!

A lot of sugar in this here dough. It's okay if that's what you are into. White pizza does not taste good with this dough.
The server took her time getting our order, food, and check. Maybe she was still waking up or what not.

I live in new york city now but come out here to visit my mother's side of the family. i've had both this one and the greensburg pizza. This location is better, the waitress then told me that this was the original jioio's-- i don't know who to believe anymore and don't want to start any jioio feudios.

service was slow but it was understandable as I came in on a holiday night. All of the staff was apologetic for the delay and otherwise were very friendly. there was a "help wanted" signs in the window so I understand they're trying to get some more hands

I have used the yelp app for a few years now and have never written a review. Today, I felt compelled to do so.

Took my daughter here for lunch. The restaurant was not even halfway full, however, the wait staff and kitchen seemed to struggle to keep up. It took us almost an hour to get our order. Refills on the water were a bit of a challenge also. I was given one refill in the approximately 1.5 hours we were there. It was hot.

At the end of the meal I am still not sure who our server was as it seemed that the ladies in the dining room were taking turns serving us. It seemed pretty disorganized
