Dousman Family Dentistry has been serving Waukesha County families since 1976 when Dr. Dennis Schaeffer opened the practice on Main Street in downtown Dousman, Wisconsin. Dousman Family Dentistry offers state-of-the-art technology and superior comprehensive oral care to its patients, who range in age from three to 103 years old!

A properly filled cavity can prevent further and more costly procedures later on. Your dental filling procedure will begin with one of our experienced dentists applying local anesthetic to numb the area. Next, the decayed area will be removed and the space will be cleaned for the filling. Finally, your dentist will finish and polish the filling for a comfortable fit.

I had a great experience at Dousman Dental. I had two crowns put on the left side of my mouth and they decided to do them both at the same time which was great because it saved me a second trip. To be honest I never felt any pain and was as comfortable as could be under the circumstances. I would highly recommend them!

Started going here a few years ago when my wife wanted all things done under one roof medically with the birth of our first child. Used to be a descent place to go. Now they treat you as if they don’t matter and can’t stick to appointments made months in advance and claim low staffing. I get cancelling appointments if an emergency shows up first, kid breaks a tooth, cracked teeth eating, whatever. They Canceled my appointment back in March or April. Covid. Whatever, got it. Never rescheduled. Just told me they were only doing emergency services and had no time frame for cleaning appointments

My wife and daughters have been going to Dr. Whalen for many years and I started going a year ago on my wife's recommendation. The staff are always very pleasant, it is an extremely clean facility and I feel very comfortable with trusting Dr. Whalen and his staff with my dental work. Some of the staff at this facility were very annoyed with me because i haven't gone if for a surgery yet when i was waiting until school was out to get it done and said to me things like are you actually going to go in this time or are you wasting our time and aren't going to go in. they didn't even let me try to explain and by this point I was already annoyed with them because i had to sit there and wait a half hour just for the dentist to tell me that. this isn't the first time they have bothered our family either but this was the final straw.We will not be returning to this establishment again

Dr. Schaeffer was the go-to guy for my family's teeth growing up. He put braces on my very crooked teeth when I was a pre-teen, and when my teeth reverted to their crooked ways, Dr. Schaeffer fixed them once again - this time with an expander and retainers. He is a miracle worker! I've had an expander followed by a retainer on my teeth for 9 months and the results are amazing! A genius in the world of teeth!
