Dr. Warren Zahner and his two sons Dr. Jonathan Zahner and Dr. Shawn Zahner are local residents deeply invested in the practice and the community.
I am one of Zahner Dental's front office care coordinators. I love football season, however I ask forgiveness in advance as I'm a Steeler's fan in New England Territory! Setting that flaw aside, let's focus on my passion for cooking and making people smile! Passionate about interior design and gardening, somehow finds time to balance the books in between the hectic schedule of a mom x 4.

Dr. Shawn Zahner is a graduate of the University of Connecticut Dental School and received extra training in the General Practice Residency at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Zahner is active in continuing education, especially in the areas of implant dentistry, dental surgery, and comprehensive oral rehabilitation.
Before Dr. Jonathan Zahner was working alongside his father and brother at Zahner Dental, he pursued another line of work: engineering. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with his Master's in Civil Engineering, he went on to work for a regional engineering firm.
However, it soon became clear to him that he needed more hands-on fulfillment and felt a need to be in the service of others, so he returned to the University of Connecticut and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.Now, he feels that the switch to dentistry was the best decision he ever made! He is also a member of the Tolland County Dental Society, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Zahner Dental has been taking amazing care of me and my children for over 5 years now. They are great with my son, who has a lot of sensory issues. He’s really comfortable coming to the dentist now which is a HUGE deal for him! I have had nothing but great experiences and love Dr. John and Dr. Sean. I was able to get help with some dental issues very quickly and everyone in the office is suuuuuper nice. My favorite dentist ever! 10/10

Just left this office where I booked a cleaning 2 months ago and left after waiting for a half hour without having my teeth cleaned but was told I first needed 4 wing bite X-rays. When I booked my cleaning app I told the front desk that I just needed a cleaning and had no other problems with my teeth. She said the the hygienist was busy but I agreed to wait the two months to have a cleaning. They asked for my prior Dentist info for my history which I gave them. Two months later I go in for the cleaning and I'm now told that I have to be checked out by the Dentist and have four X-rays before the

Dr.Jon really impressed me with his competence, kindness, attention to detail & communication skills. He answered my questions in clear, direct detailed manner that allowed me to make informed decisions on my care. He performed my crown flawlessly & I hardly felt a thing. When we moved to the area, my wife and I were a bit adrift at finding a good dental service (as I, unfortunately, am a frequent flier in dental chairs :) An oral surgeon whom we respected suggested the crew at Zahner Dental, and I had the pleasure of telling him that his referral was spot on.

If you have severe dental anxiety, hear me out!:
My back molar broke about two years ago. It was a small break and it didn’t hurt so I did what many of us do, ignored it. The thought of going to the dentist was too terrifying. Too many poor past experiences. Fast forward to the week before Christmas 2019 when a larger portion of that same tooth broke off. Again there was no pain but I knew I had to do something before it got worse. That week I sat on my couch, in tears, reading through loads of reviews on dental offices because I really didn’t want to go. Everyone seemed to rave about Zahner

It took me a long time to find and warm up to a new dentist after my previous dentist retired but Zahner Dental and ALL the staff are top notch. This review took me 3 years to evaluate and finally put it in writing for all to see. No one likes to go to the dentist but it is a necessary "evil". Your comfort and absence of any pain are their first priorities and they will discuss and explain every procedure over and over again until you understand what is happening and why. They work with you on cost and payment so you can easily have your teeth properly taken of. I went in there for the first 2

I was a bit nervous. I must say from the initial phone call to the delivery of my new CEREC crown, my expectations were surpassed. I saw Dr Johnathan, he is a very VERY nice man. Emily, his assistant was so considerate. I immediately trusted that I was in very capable hands. i had an initial exam on Wednesday and a new crown on Friday! Ya man. love the staff!

I can not say enough about the fabulous Zahner dental. I started going there just for cleanings a few years ago, and about 18 months ago I decided to get invisalign. I had never had braces, and was super apprehensive as I have a medical condition that results in awful headaches. Doctor John was super patient and understanding with me, and worked… incredibly hard to develop a plan so I would be comfortable with invisalign and avoided causing any additional pressure for headaches. He and his team were always so pleasant, gentle, kind, and funny!! I don't think I ever had an appointment where

I feel so fortunate that I found Zahner dental. I suffered from teeth grinding for years that resulted in jaw misalignment and severe jaw pain. When I was told that I would need braces to correct the problem, and there was no guarantee it would help, I was desperate. I called Zahner Dental and the staff were wonderful. Dr. John assessed my… situation and decided on a treatment approach. I then met with Linda who thoroughly explained the treatment schedule and what the cost would be. Dr. John was amazing. Zahner Dental is a first class dentistry. They embrace and employ the latest technologies such as Invisaline and digital same-day crowns. Both of which I have taken advantage of with great success including a 2 hour crown that fit first time without any adjustment or that nasty mold process! That was really amazing as I have experience with the traditional ~2 week traditional crown process which, by comparison, is very inefficient and unnecessary. Not to overlook... the staff is great to work with and the office is modern and comfortable.

People more than friendly. Very helpful and with two cavity fillings I can honestly say I felt 0, I mean Zero pain or discomfort. As I mentioned to staff at the time I actually almost fell asleep during the procedure. Couldn't be happier with the experience. I would drive from outta state to get my dental needs taken care of by this awesome team of people. Thanks again.
