Davey's Irish Pub & Restaurant
We got a very nice sense that Davey's was a hometown kind of pub that anybody would enjoy. So interesting and varied did the patrons of this fine bar seem, that it led me to note that a good bar or pub is all about promise: the promise of fine food, the promise of good drink, the promise of fellowship and companionship and the promise that we are all together in life and we might as well recognize it.

Davey's is another "family room" for many that have been regulars for over 30 years. The older generation celebrated all family occasions here, and now the second generation is doing the same with their families. Although the area is known for its numerous Irish style pubs, none compare to the friendliness and warmth one will find inside this unique pub-style restaurant.

Davey's is the perfect neighborhood pub. Reliable and friendly service from the bartenders to the wait staff. My favorites-- the Sabrina chicken sandwich and the buffalo chicken with salad. The blue cheese is beyond-- a must for dipping your beer battered fries! Also fun trivia on Monday nights.

Great local hangout to meet friends and grab a few cocktails. Good food as well. Always a good time, and a good place to watch sports as well.

Was looking to grab a quick bite and a few cold ones. Decent sized menu for a pub, I liked the turkey BLT wrap.

Was hoping for a good experience based on others reviews, but everything was disappointing. We sat outside and everything just seemed dirty and unkempt and unorganized. Tables and chairs are not nice, rickety, and uncomfortable. This was a Thursday 6:30pm, first week of October. Kinda embarrassed as we suggested this for a birthday celebration for people we were taking there. Food was heavy and greasy and mediocre. We ordered apps, mains, and dessert. Nothing stood out. Was hoping for some excellent fish and chips, but there was almost no fish inside all the breading and it seemed over fried. It

The Food is basic pub grub. Servers generally do a good job. Be wary of calling in an order for pick up. They constantly make mistakes, you get home to discover missing items. Tonight I ordered for pick up only to be told they gave my food to the wrong customer. Then they gave me someone else's food.

Great food, everything's very flavorful. Awesome place to grab a bite to eat, sure there's a bar but it's still quite a good environment for families as the two dining rooms are separate from the bar. Staff very friendly with efficient service. Good variety in the menu, you're sure to find something you like, my mom was very picky and often ordered from the kids menu at a lot of places and she loved Davey's. I'll try anything once and haven't ever had a bad meal here.

I went there for the first time today, had the Celtic Burger with Beer Battered Battered Fries. It was one of the BEST burgers I've ever had. Juicy, perfectly cooked and big! If I were to describe the perfect fries it would be these fries! The service was great and the restaurant clean and welcoming. I will definitely be returning!

Straightforward Irish pub with good service that sits somewhere between cordial and tolerant. Drinks are good, portions are appropriate and the price is on par with the quality and the experience. Would I put it on my have to go to list...no. Does it belong on a rotation when you want a decent meal in a casual friendly environment...yes!

Terrific neighborhood pub! Try the Dublin grilled cheese! It's layers of gooey goodness... Irish bacon and cheddar, tomato, crispy bread.. so good! Comes with fries and a respectable deli pickle. Service is good and quick. They also did a great job with transforming part of the parking lot into outdoor dining during the summer with the pandemic.

Let me start with positive. My bloody Mary was the best Ive had in years so I would recommend daveys for drinks.
Food was beyond terrible. Very greasy!!!!!! I picked up my sandwich and grease ran all over my shirt. Not cooked to specifications. Had to stop and use bathroom on way home as bad food got to my stomach.

seemed safe enough to dine in with covid......... eat before you go and enjoy the drinks

Ugh! French onion soup barely average. Bland. Little taste. Best French onion soup ever is at Shannon Rose inner 17 in Ramsey, NJ. I ordered the Godfather sandwich with steak fries. Fries very greasy and limp. Sandwich was same as the soup: bland. Wife ordered French dip without bread and aus jous on the side. Roast beef came in a lump on the plate...cold. The aus jous barely luke warm. Sent it back. Two stars for this place is generous. Feel like I was just robbed of $50.

I mean, how can you not love Davey's? I've been coming here with my family since I was a kid. Incredible owners, amazing and friendly staff, AMAZING bartenders! (Emily!!!) the food is delicious, the service is great, and even during covid they had an awesome outdoor set up with live music, trivia, and DJ entertainment.

Went last night for a quick dinner with my parents. They both ordered the pulled pork special, I got the Cajun shrimp app, and both were fine. I did bite into a couple of shrimp shells on my shrimp and it is always a nice surprise to hear that crunch. My parents said that the pork tasted old and reheated. Maybe we will come back, maybe we won't. Was not super impressed.

I've been going to Davey's since I was a kid! My whole family loves the burgers here. Recently got a mushroom salad and I was really happy with it. They have a lively bar at night with darts, so that's always fun! Awesome atmosphere, really chill and laidback pub.

One of they better pubs in the North Jersey area. Davey's has been around for quite sometime & if you have ever been to this establishment, you know why. I've been going to Davey's either with friends or family since I was a kid & will continue to keep going.

There's plenty of seating both inside & out for you to choose from. The bar is rather large & there are plenty of chairs for you to post up, watch a game, & enjoy a cold one. Also, during the NFL season, they have a projector screen in their main dining area for you to watch the games. There other dining

My first time here and I thought it was great. The atmosphere and staff were very professional and responsive. They had a dj spinning tunes and he got the crowd into it. I think the djs name was Dave, not sure. If you're in this part of town, stop by and check it out.

I haven't been to Davey's in years but always remember enjoying it so we popped in for a quick bite last night. We were on the earlier side for dinner and it was packed around the bar. Happy hour crowd!

Now Davey's is a traditional pub but focused on Irish faire. A good selection of beers on tap and it even looked like they had complementary snacks for those around the bar attending happy hour.

Our waitress was pleasant and seemed extremely happy. Not a bad thing by any means. We ordered the French onion soup to start with. I was very impressed. The soup was nice and salty and

I went to Davey's right before the "blizzard". It's a pretty typical Irish pub, with large square bar in the main area with some tables for small groups in other areas. Service was friendly and took our drink orders immediately. Beer list was a bit out of date, since my first 2 choices were no longer on tap.

My friend and I split an order of the spicy fried pickles as an appetizer. I was expecting pickle chips, but they were still pretty good. They were mildly spicy and served with wasabi mayo. It was kind of expensive at near $8.00 for 5 pickle spears though. (forgot to take
