My husband and I were ardent fans of Aldo & Gianni for over 30 years. Gianni moved to CA decades ago, Aldo retired, and to our delight his loyal employees took over the restaurant, unfortunately, just before COVID hit. Family owned, they have worked tirelessly to build a stellar reputation as Delpinos and have in my opinion become the absolute best Italian restaurant in Bergen County. So I was devastated to hear that a local competitor posted multiple fake reviews, undeservedly so, because they are losing business to this phenomenal restaurant. Came here on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. We have found a new place to dine with great food and good prices! We dined on a quiet Sunday night, and enjoyed the food, the ambiance, the service and the kindness of the staff. We were dining with an elderly friend and I had asked to be placed in a quiet corner away from others and the request was more than met. Local neighborhood eatery where you feel like family. From the moment we walked into the front door we were graciously welcomed. Promptly seated and again welcomed at the table. Everyone enjoyed their meals including fish ( prepared a way not on the menu by request), pasta, chicken, and a daily special. Being a BYOB establishment was icing on the cake!

It started with the hostess acting like she's doing us a favor by sitting us at the draftiest table in the house... And that's with a reservation.
Everything here was slow. And loud. A long wait for everything. Cold bread, a waiter, opening our wine, appetizers, salads, entrees, just slow. And it's noisy and drafty.
The seafood salad was tasty, but had no scungilli as it should've per the menu. The waiter checked with the kitchen and they apparently ran out. Rather than mentioning this, they added one extra shrimp as compensation. So it was squid salad with

Sitting here right now i was hoping the food would live up to the reviews. Sadly i am so disappointed the food is below par. I could have cooked better. I feel like a starter crew made this. I dont know what went wrong. The pictures speaker for themselves. I honestly dont know what happened because this is not the quality i expected. The only thing is their own seltzer. Wow!! What a fabulous place. Your taste buds are in for a treat. I used to love coming to Aldo and Gianni who had the restaurant several years ago. The new owners (who are former staff) have kept the tradition going. Each one of our party of four enjoyed everything they had. From the unbelievably delicious bruschetta at the start through the salads appetizers and a miraculous veal chop Valdostano. A good time was had by all. The restaurant is a must if you love Italian deliciousness!

Heard a few good comments so decided to give it a go. The 4 of us all said it was overall OK. The Calamari was very good, tender and flavorful. Also the staff were very polite supporting the solid 3 stars, yet apologetic about slow service snd noise. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, my go to when trying a new Italian restaurant. It was below average, too thin so mostly batter throughput 2/3 if the piece, leaving a limited chicken taste. The angel hair was again average, a bit wet.
Others had the Bronzino fish special and they said it was ok but not much flavor.

Came for a repast, The owner was amazing and so helpful and polite. The food was awesome and staff was on point. Absolutely would recommend coming here for special occasions or just dinner. All the dishes provided for our 70 plus people came out hot and as ordered. The staff went above and beyond, and I would give more stars if I could.

We recently dined there with another couple and the busboy did not even show up with water for about ten minutes. We then had to ask for bread which also did not arrive at our table for another 15 minutes, and when the waiter came to take our order, he acted frustrated when I asked if the particular entree I asked for had certain ingredients in which I am allergic to.

GOOD TO GO! Excellent! This was our first time trying the delicious Delpino restaurant menu and it was the best take out!
The Lemon Sole franchise was perfection!
My husband had the Beef Bolognese fettuccine with a Ceasar salad and Stuffed eggplant appetizer, he loved it!
Our son had the Chicken Parmesan but he ate it so fast I didn't get to take a photograph but he loved it too!
I'm looking forward to seeing the inside and enjoying dining in very soon.
If you like Italian cuisine, you will love Delpino's too!

Delpinos is amazing. It doesn't make sense that people say it's 3 star
This is a 5 star Italian restaurant.
The meals are incredibly delicious.
The ambiance is so intimate and romantic.
They play Italian music which sets the mood
There are always specials plus an amazing menu. If you love Italian food and you want to feel the charm of Italy you owe it to yourself to try Delpinos. Do not let the store front fool you

I stopped going to Aldo's when Aldo retired and sold the restaurant but now that it has been bought by one of the original waiters, it is back and better than ever! I couldn't be happier that it's back in the hands of Aldo's original. The food is delicious, the employees are friendly, and the atmosphere is updated and modern. If you're afraid to go back, don't be anymore! It's back! It's back!
