Drive led a team of consultants for the design and deployment of an ITS network along the PA Turnpike's Northeast Extension in Eastern Pennsylvania. In addition to overseeing the overall ITS design effort for this project, Drive provided project management, surveyed all ITS sites and developed the ITS design and plans, specifications and estimate (PS&E) package which included traffic control plans, erosion and sediment control plan and ITS plans.
Drive assisted PennDOT District 6-0 and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) with the development of optimized traffic signal timing plans for multiple corridors throughout the region.
The team provided extensive coordination with corridor stakeholders, collected traffic operations data, analyzed the data, developed traffic models to estimate optimized traffic signal timing plans, implemented the optimized traffic signal timing plans, and field verified that the optimized plans allow for best traffic operations based on actual field conditions after implementation.

Drive wrote and developed the software acceptance test plan, software acceptance test procedures, software acceptance test results, and the database model document. The NYSDOT ATMS software system integrates CCTV, HAR, DMS, ramp metering, RTMS surveillance, SAS surveillance, temperature monitors, Blue Toad Data, TI-MED Data and OpenReach data.
Our Traffic Operations and TIM professionals have extensive experience in comprehensive program development at the regional, state, and local level. Drive is providing comprehensive statewide Traffic and Incident Management Support Services for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Projects include the development, deployment, and maintenance of a statewide E-Learning program for Pennsylvania's SHRP2 Traffic Incident Management training.
