Dunlap Construction Company was founded in 1979 by Dennis Dunlap and quickly developed a reputation among the best contractors in Hendersonville. Dennis began the company as a sole proprietorship and then incorporated the company in 1997. Initially, we primarily serviced residential clients, but now we service multiple industries, including medical, commercial, municipal, and recreational restoration and renovation.
Our company has always taken pride in the fact that many of our new projects come from repeat clients. As a company, we also recognize the importance of community and giving back. Since 1983, we have helped to support the Shriner's Children's Hospital and the Henderson County School's High School Athletic Program.

I have worked with Dunlap Construction as an independent estimator for almost four years. During that time I have had the opportunity to see how the family owned company works to develop relationships with owners, architects and subcontractors while completing all types of construction projects. The office and field personnel are professional and strive to make their projects a good experience for all concerned. The Dunlaps, Jill and Dennis, are involved in every project to ensure the projects go smoothly and, if unforeseen problems occur, they are addressed quickly and fully explained to all involved

Dunlap Construction completed home modifications for my family following my husband’s spinal cord injury. Not only were they extremely knowledgeable about modifications to make our home wheel chair accessible and safe for my husband, but due to our situation they volunteered their services. They even came out immediately (within an hour of being notified) to complete the job when my husband ended up getting discharged early from the hospital. Dunlap Construction provides professional, high quality work while caring for their consumers and giving back to others in the community! I highly recommend

I don’t recommend hiring this company, one of their employees or the owner theirself attempted to run myself and my coworkers off the road with the company truck as we got off work. The employee wouldn’t stop though, too scared I suppose. Not safe to hire such mentally unstable and psycho people. I recommend looking elsewhere.
