Services
Yael holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work, a Master of Social Work and Certification in Clinical Social Work with Families from St. Louis University. Yael is trained and experienced in various approaches to therapy that can be adjusted to your specific needs and goals. Yael has worked extensively with survivors of sexual abuse and interpersonal violence, and is specialized in approaches to Trauma Therapy.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.
This option is available for people who are unable to meet in person, and prefer to meet via a secure video conferencing platform. All you will need is a functional computer with a video camera, broad band internet connection and a confidential, private location where you will not be interrupted. This service is not appropriate for people who experience suicidal/ homicidal ideations or psychotic episodes.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Late cancellations (within the same day as the appointment) will result in a $50 fee.
This notice describes how medical information about you may be used and disclosed and how you can get access to this information. You can ask to see or get an electronic or paper copy of your medical record and other health information we have about you. Ask us how to do this. We will provide a copy or a summary of your health information, usually within 30 days of your request.
