Services
Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between STRUCTURE (primarily the spine, although fixations in the extremities are often involved) and its FUNCTION (as coordinated by the nervous system). As specialists in Sports Chiropractic, our doctors utilize specific assessment/treatment techniques to detect and correct dysfunctional spinal and extremity joints that are not moving properly.
Elite Spinal & Sports Care has been providing Active Release Techniques (ART) to the Sacramento area since 2004. What makes ART unique is that it utilizes principles of friction and tension to "tear" adhesions formed within/between damaged muscles, fascia, tendons, nerve tracts and ligaments of the human body.
Your trunk and pelvis form a boney, muscular, fascial outer shell to protect and encase all of your internal organs. Your organs are not just loosely floating around in the abdomen; they are mostly supported by tissue called fascia and pleura.
The whole thing is a sealed system under pressure that squishes everything tightly together; each organ is wrapped in its own pleura and bathed in a little bit of fluid so it can slide and move around or over its neighboring organs.Things that affect the pressures in the system or the ability of the organs to slide and move around in their close quarters will affect the ability of the body to move and function properly.

Fascial Manipulation (FM) focuses on the fascia and considers that the myofascial system is a three-dimensional continuum. This method offers a complete biomechanical model that assists in deciphering the role of fascia in musculoskeletal disorders. The fascia in the body is very extensive and so it would be difficult and inappropriate to work over the entire body.
The Graston Technique is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables our doctors to effectively break down scar tissue and facial restrictions. The Technique utilizes patented stainless steel instruments designed specifically to detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Dr. Miller helped make my first marathon a success!
I suffered from a tibia injury during training and was referred out to physical therapy. Long story short it wasn’t a good fit for me.
While participating in CIM training, I met Dr. Miller, as Elite Spinal & Sports Care was doing a free trial for their services. I decided to pay him a visit after I gave up on PT. That was one of the smartest decisions I’ve made for myself. Not only did he LISTEN to all of my needs and concerns, he educated me on how and why I got my injury, and what we were going to do to make my first marathon happen.

Bottom line: Dr. Chu is a straight up miracle worker and I can't recommend him or his clinic enough.
In our first 45 minutes together, he triangulated what was causing my calf pain, including diagnosing a nerve problem I've had for 21 years and has confounded other physical therapists. He walked me through specific stretches, emailed me links to useful stretching videos and tutorials, and regularly helped me restructure my marathon training program to ensure my calf wasn't over-worked while I built towards race day.
I came to Dr. Chu with an injury that made me think that my marathon aspirations

Dr. Miller has been very attentive, thoughtful, and patient in helping me deal with my elbow pain. He goes out of his way to check in on my progress in between office visits and offer advice/ answer my questions. I have experienced some improvement in my condition in the past couple months and am optimistic that the trend will continue going forward.

Having 3 herniated discs in the lower lumbar area, I went to see this team and after the first visit (and exercise homework), my pain levels decreased from 10+ to around level 5. After my third visit, the pain was nearly 100% gone. I would HIGHLYG recommend this team to anyone experiencing any structural pains.

Dr. Cody Miller is excellent! I have been seeing chiropractors for over 20 years and he ranks among the top I've ever seen. He resolved an issue I was having in my neck that was causing a severe tension headache with migraine features. After the first adjustment, I was 80% recovered, and after the second visit I was back to 100%! The combination of focused muscle work and manual adjustment techniques worked very well for my issues and allowed my body to hold the adjustment nicely. I highly, highly recommend you give him a try. He's definitely worth it!

Elite Spinal & Spirts Care is very well run, organized, and welcoming. Dr. Cody Miller is warm and engaging and does an excellent job with the evaluation and treatment. My neck pain was reduced immediately and he also gave me a longer range treatment to prevent it from recurring. He does an excellent job describing the issue and the reasoning for the exercises etc.

I have been working with Dr. Cody Miller for the past several months. I was having shoulder issues that were extremely painful. Cody was able to listen to what I was telling him, diagnose my problem and completely resolved my shoulder issues. My shoulder now feels 100%. The entire experience at Elite Spinal and Sports Care is great and I highly recommend both Cody and the facility.

I have had chronic knee pain when running for years. I visited Dr. Cody Miller at Elite after he was recommended. He watched me run, asked many questions and conducted an exam. He identified problems with my form, instructed me to include additional stretches and strengthening exercises in my routine, and manipulated my knee, calf, and hip to relieve the years of tension. Over two months I have felt gradual and continued improvement. I have been able to challenge myself with longer distances and speed work because of the reduction in pain.

Today was my last day of PT with Cody. I am pain free! I have been seeing him for issues with my nerve pain and back pain since June 15, 2021
. I saw him this morning thinking I had pulled a groin muscle, it was my hip. After adjustments I literally have no more pain anywhere.
I have been seen, for pain, by physicians for almost six years and going to physical therapy. This worked for just a few days, even with doing the PT at home. Cody is amazing!
